Weddings are great. They are full of positive feelings and love that can be virtually felt in the air. Every bride dreams of this special day and, of course, wishes her best friends to be there by her side. Considering all the wonderful things bridesmaids are more than happy to do and take care of, and the sheer support they offer, every bride should find a way to show her gratitude to them.
So, instead of turning into a bridezilla and making the entire wedding prep an absolute nightmare, do something nice for your bridesmaids instead. Here are some ideas.
Tips to Show Your Bridesmaids Gratitude
1. Give them a meaningful gift
An interesting way you can show your bridesmaids just how much you truly feel honored that they said yes is by giving them a small yet meaningful gift. This doesn’t have to be anything over the top. A simple spa day or a relaxing massage can easily do the trick. However, if spa days or massages feel too impersonal for you, you should consider giving them something they can keep forever. For instance, you can give your bridesmaids a dainty piece of jewelry. Something beautiful like a necklace for every occasion can be a great gift. To make it all the more special, you can even ask your bridesmaids to wear their gifts on your special day.
2. Include them in the planning process
Next, since your bridesmaids are your pack, you should definitely include them in the wedding planning process. Since they will be the ones organizing all of the events leading to your wedding day, it is only fair that you include them in organizing the big event. This way they will feel like they are directly contributing to making your special day all the more special. Also, by having an insight into your wedding plans, they might have an easier time organizing everything else.
3. Value their opinion
You need to remind yourself that your bridesmaids are your friends. So, if they don’t always see eye-to-eye with you, that doesn’t mean they have ill intentions. If you ask your bridesmaids for their opinion, make sure you value the feedback. If you, for instance, want your bridesmaids to wear matching dresses but they simply hate the style you have chosen, allow them to pick something else instead. In hindsight, the style of your bridesmaids’ dresses will be the last thing you will think about when you look back on your wedding day.
4. Keep them up to date
Finally, since your bridesmaids will spend a lot of time planning and preparing for your big day, you should see to it that you keep them in the loop. This includes every and any changes you make in the original schedule. Also, provide them with the dates of the events as soon as possible, so that they can adjust their plans accordingly. Furthermore, share your rehearsal and wedding day timeline with them on time, so that they know exactly when and where they need to be. Depending on the number of bridesmaids you have in your bridal party, you need to know that chances are that not all of them will be able to attend every single event – and that’s okay.
In the end, after all that they have done for you, you need to find a way to show them just how much you are grateful for their hard work. This way the bond all of you have will become even stronger. So, make sure your bridesmaids know that you truly do feel honored that they’ll be the ones by your side on your wedding day.
