Cotton Tulle Wedding Ball Gown

I’m a tulle-loving girl. I think the netted fabric adds a little something to a dress – particularly a wedding gown – giving it the lift it needs and deserves. But, let’s face it, lovelies: the stuff itches. I have a black and white polka dot dress with a bright red sash (it’s quite fabulous) but I avoid wearing it because the bottom layer (bright red tulle!) is so dang itchy. And, if you sit in it all day it leaves marks on your legs. So, when I saw this tulle wedding ball gown I thought it looked lovely, but imagined the itchiness that would ensue. Ouch. However, I quickly discovered this is an entirely different type of tulle. In fact, this sweet soft cotton tulle ballgown is just that: soft! The dress is handmade from 80% cotton, with all the structural parts underneath the tulle constructed of organic cotton sateen making it soft against your skin. It is lightweight and party-ready. I’m loving this look! Thanks, Pure Magnolia Couture (gown designer) for taking the toughness out of the tulle!
