If you’re planning a spring or summer wedding, now is a perfect time to get started on those DIY wedding favors you’ve been putting off through the holidays. Today, we’re sharing an amazing article on how to make DIY seed favors, an inexpensive and eco-friendly wedding favor guests can actually use. With just a few easy-to-find items you can craft these DIY seed favors for guests to plant their first blooms of spring. Read on to find out more…
This tutorial by MADE (spotted via Pinterest) requires only a few basic supplies like soil, pots, seeds, cookie cutters, paper, and a few additional items you most likely have around the house. What we love most about this project is the ability to customize the different shapes with cookie cutters… which means personalization is endless! We’re already imagining these fun seedlings made from alphabet cookie cutters to tie into your monogram, numbers to tie into the wedding date, or various shapes which can tie into your wedding theme. And, if you’re in love with this idea but your wedding is off-season, guests can still plant your beautiful seedlings indoors to bloom all year long. Besides, flowers are way more fun to have around the house than plastic store-bought favors.
To get the full how-to scoop, check out MADE which shows you how to craft these seed favors from start to finish.
Happy Planting! ;)

I have been looking for eco-friendly wedding bits and pieces for a bride who’s having a very green wedding and I love this idea of the seed favors! Ties in so many themes of celebration of life and love, the heart shape is adorable, and if (heaven forbid) any do get thrown away, as favors often do, they will not be wasted! Love grows on and on :) Thanks for sharing more fabulous DIY ideas!
Oh wow! Thank you! I was just going to give little envelopes of seeds as favours but these will look so much better!
oh now that’s so cute! Have something eternal to remember a wedding by! Also, good for almost any situation, because you could have a window box in a flat, or a garden if you’ve got one, and good for kids and adults alike.
