The Lighthouse Wedding You Have to See!

Aliza & Mike's wedding in East Haven Connecticut by Connecticut wedding photographer, David Butler II, Butler Photography

This lighthouse wedding in New Haven, Connecticut was absolutely stunning! Meet our featured couple, Aliza and Mike. Aliza tells us, “When Mike and I started to plan our wedding we knew we wanted to keep it true to who we were. We wanted to honor some of the traditional elements of a wedding but still make sure the experience was indicative of our fun and lighthearted personalities. When we saw Lighthouse Point Park for the first time we knew it was where we wanted to get married. From the beautiful beach, to the breathtaking lighthouse, to the whimsical carousel, we couldn’t have dreamed up a better venue. Some of our favorite memories include our first look on the beach, saying ‘I do’ under the chuppa my mom crocheted, our boardwalk style menu, ice cream truck and riding the carousel to Justin Bieber. We still can’t believe how perfect the entire day was thanks to all of our vendors and family and friends who celebrated with us.” See their incredible wedding photographs by David from Butler Photography, LLC

Jesse + Grant’s “Elopecation”: A Small Colorado Wedding

Jesse and Grant’s small Colorado wedding was perfect for them! They took part in a new wedding trend called “elopecation” where a couple elopes and has a vacation immediately following. This beautiful couple was married this summer among Colorado’s breathtaking mountains. Being an adventurous couple and looking to plan a small private wedding, they sought the help of planner Stephanie from TWO Colorado. Stephanie tells us, “Jesse and Grant are an active couple, so road-tripping from St. Louis to Southern Colorado for their elopement was a natural choice for them. They grabbed their four closest friends and headed west for a week of kayaking, hiking in the Great Sand Dunes National Park, eating great local food, and getting married, of course! TWO Colorado was a perfect choice for them with their out of the way locations in the hills of the San Juan Mountains enabling them to have a private ceremony in the beautiful outdoors.”

Katrina + Jeff Say “I Do” in this Detroit Wedding!

Seeing your friends tie the knot is a rewarding experience. Part of that is the amazing history we have together. I’ve known Jeff since high school. We ran cross country and track together. He was my roommate in college and we’ve been great friends to this day. When Jeff first mentioned Katrina she sounded way to good to be true. I met her and he was absolutely right. That’s the second part of what made seeing them get married so wonderful, their committed love for one another. They complement each other so well and it’s easy to see that they make each other a better person. I love it! Their wedding day started off with friends and family taking part in a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony at Katrina’s parents home. Later that day, Jeff stood waiting for Katrina at the front of the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament. During their ceremony they recited vows, said “I Do”, and walked back up the aisle together as guests applauded their marriage. They worked with Sandy and Tim from The Camera Chick to take some amazing photographs outside Comerica Park. Jeff and a few of his groomsmen are huge Beatles fans, so it only made sense to re-enact the cover of Abbey Road on the streets of Detroit. Afterward, they were whisked away by limousine to the Royalty House in Warren, Michigan. Their food was fantastic! After wonderful toasts given by the Best Man and Maid of Honor, guests danced the night away and celebrated the marriage of one fantastic couple, Katrina and Jeff! Enjoy their photos after the click…
