A Romantic Garden Wedding in North Carolina (Real Weddings)

If you love garden weddings, then you’ll want to see this one! This beautiful North Carolina wedding was captured by Michelle and Sara from Michelle Robinson Photography. Michelle tells us, “Caitlin and Allen’s gorgeous Botanical Gardens wedding is full of precious memories, DIY touches, pops of colors, and so much love. The Paul J. Ciener Botanical Gardens was just the perfect location to showcase all of these unique details! Caitlin loved putting her special DIY touches to this wedding. She made all the flower bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and invitations. Her mother-in-law made the cupcakes and cake! It was amazing to see all the creativity behind each bouquet. She even told us how they started growing the bridesmaids flowers so far in advance. I bet it was incredible for Caitlin to finally see her dream become a reality. When it came time to have our one-on-one time with Caitlin and Allen, they just blew us away! They knew how to move with each other and we couldn’t stop being in awe. Like, speechless. We kept saying we couldn’t wait, and we just couldn’t! Even though it rained on their wedding day and they had to hold their ceremony inside of the reception hall instead of the Garden, these two were just full of sunshine.”

Real Weddings: A Magnificent Rustic Wedding at Bellamy Mansion

Today we’re sharing a gorgeous Bellamy Mansion wedding in downtown Wilmington! But before we get started, we have to share the story of how this couple met. It sounds like it came from a romantic comedy! Vanessa tells us,

I was sitting at my gate at Wilmington International Airport at 6:30 am, reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and Seth came and sat a few chairs diagonally across from me. From this moment on, I was only faking to read! I could not concentrate, as we kept staring awkwardly at each other making eye contact here and there. As we boarded the plane, Seth got in line behind me. My heart was racing with butterflies. I sat down in my seat on the plane and turned to see Seth standing there as he said, “I think that’s my seat…” pointing to the window seat, with a smile on his face. I responded, “No it’s not!” and we both laughed. In a two-seater row, there we were, just the two of us… and we talked the entire flight! We hit it off so seamlessly and discovered that we only lived a few miles apart from each other! At the end of the flight, Seth asked for my number and the rest is history!

So, what happened next? They fell in love, he popped the question, and they wed in a rustic setting at Bellamy Mansion! And we’re thrilled to share their beautiful day with you with photos and a video captured by Chris Lang Photography. In the video, you’ll see the day from start to finish including getting ready, the First Look, and a perfectly choreographed First Dance. Don’t miss it!

A Winery Engagement Session in Beautiful Santa Fe

If you love wine themed weddings or engagement sessions, you’ll love today’s feature! We are sharing David & Kristen’s beautiful winery engagement session in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with photography by Shutterfreek. Their photographer Paul tells us, “David and Kristen were friends first. They were best friends all through high school and college. After college, Kristin moved to DC to become a nurse. David left for pilot training and the start of his Air Force career. After 3 years of just phone calls and emails she insisted he come visit her. It was on that trip that their friendship turned into something more.”

“One year into dating they met in Albuquerque for a long weekend. They visited Casa Rodena Winery where they sat and talked about their future together over a glass of wine. It was on top of Sandia Peak that she was in his arms and never felt safer. It was after a day in Santa Fe at the Eldorado Hotel (where they are getting married in April) that she knew they were meant to be. That weekend was such a milestone in their relationship that we tried our best to incorporate it into our wedding as much as possible.”
