This Chicago Urban Art Society wedding is gorgeous! Meet the breathtaking bride Kristi and her handsome husband David. Their Chicago wedding was this past August and it’s filled with amazing DIY details. The wedding’s personalized details included a chic wooden sign, romantic lighting, and handmade banner cake topper. Kristi looked stunning in her dress! Her gold colored jewelry and flower hairpiece are so alluring. Their wedding at the Chicago Urban Art Society was photographed by Bri, from Bri McDaniel Photography. See the lovely photos…

Bri tells us, “They set up a really fun photo booth with a neat back drop. It stands out to me because I am used to seeing photo booths with plain backdrops. I also loved the ceremony backdrop. It was shredded fabric, and very unique. They painted and sprayed coke and wine bottles for their table decor. They also had pictures of themselves strung up on a wall. It was so cute and really gave me insight into their cute love story.”

Allison and Matt’s rustic Wilmington wedding was absolutely gorgeous! The rustic wedding was held at the Poplar Groves Plantation in Wilmington, North Carolina. Their photographer, Eric from Eric Boneske Photography, captured this wonderful couple and the entire day’s amazing moments.
Allison says, “When Matt and I met, the first thing we found we had in common was our favorite childhood movie, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, an old musical from the 50’s. The movie takes place on a farm in the country and that’s why we wanted to have a rustic barn wedding. We had visited Poplar Grove the year before, for a music festival, and fell in love with its charm! The plantation offered everything we were looking for, and at a great price! We loved that our guests were able to walk the grounds and enjoy the scenery and historical aspects of Poplar Grove!”
Rustic Wilmington Wedding
“The day was beautiful! Just as we imagined it! With the help of our wedding coordinator Charyl Williams from Social Butterfly Events it went smoothly and looked beautiful! We wanted our flowers to have a wildflower feel and coordinate with the bridesmaids dresses. All of the decor was handmade by Matt and I, and some of our talented friends and family which helped with the cost! Our wedding band was FANTASTIC and kept everyone on the dance floor, except when it was time to eat. We did a buffet style wedding with all southern style foods, including a pig roast, and all the food was stationed in the Barn. Everything tasted amazing and doing the buffet let people pick and choose exactly what they wanted, and eat when they wanted. It kept everyone from staying in their seats for too long.”
“My dress is an Amsale, and I purchased it at Nordstrom’s Wedding Suite in New York. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly! I ordered my shoes from modcloth.com and my necklace was from BHLDN. All other jewelry I wore were heirlooms from my mother’s side.”
“All in all, the day was perfect, exactly what we hoped for! And it was all captured beautiful, by Eric Boneske and crew! We couldn’t be happier with our wedding photos! They captured every little detail and we will cherish them forever!”

We love featuring real weddings on Emmaline Bride! This vintage natural inspired wedding is beautiful and we’re excited to share it with you. Samantha and Christopher’s wedding in Deep River, Connecticut has lots of DIY details, great photos, and an incredible theme! Their wedding was captured by Katie from Katie Slater Photography at the Lace Factory. See all the vintage natural inspired wedding details and hear what Katie and the bride, Samantha, have to say after the click…
Vintage Natural Inspired Wedding
Katie says, “We love non-traditional wedding flowers! The florals created by Ashleigh’s Garden for Samantha and Christopher’s wedding are nothing short of bright, wild-flower amazingness. The gorgeous day is inspired by a vintage, natural feel. Nature is everywhere in this wedding from the organic, bright flower arrangements to the vintage bird-watching images on the tables. Did we mention the incredible terrarium centerpieces that Samantha created?! These two love birds took the already incredible Lace Factory venue and turned it into a greenhouse! Add in a vintage teal bicycle and we’re in love. It was so fun to be a part of this laughter-filled, nature-loving, detail-oriented day!”
Samantha tells us, “We wanted a casual, intimate and vintage feel to our wedding. We focused the details on nature and the outdoors, which we both love. That’s where the trees, terrariums and birds came from. It was important to us that our guests had outdoors available to them, therefore our ceremony was outside and our venue allowed for guests to be inside and outside without missing out on the reception.
“We tried to do as much DIY as possible! Most of our stationary was purchased on Etsy.com, which we then printed and assembled ourselves. The rest, like the menus and escort cards, we created completely from scratch, and glued each feather for a special touch! A friend even designed the train tickets we provided to our guests. My bridesmaids, mother and mother in law helped me to create all of the terrariums which were used as our centerpieces.”
“We also printed large, black and white posters of all of our parents and grandparents wedding photos which I affixed to foam board in order to create a little gallery of wedding photos to use to decorate the reception venue. All of the signage was made by us as well! A close friend of ours also provided the ceremony music, and, along with some friends of his, the cocktail hour music. This was one of the best, most raved about, part of our wedding! There were very few details that we DIDN’T do ourselves. It was important to me that our wedding felt personal and special and I felt that DIY was the best way to make that happen!”
“Everything about the day was perfect. It is hard to choose a favorite part. I have to say, I adored the flowers, they blew me away. But really, my favorite part was being surrounded by so much love and family. I have never been so happy in my life as I was that day.”

With record low temps all around the US today, this Maui beach wedding has us remembering warmer days. Marla and Shawn were married this past July barefoot on Baldwin Beach, Maui. After 16 years together, they made their dream come true of having a beach wedding. Highlights of their Maui beach wedding include rainbows, music by Ukelele, coconut drinks, and post ceremony trash-the-dress. The photographer capturing this awesome couple was Wendy from Ardolino Photography. See all the photos next…
Maui Beach Wedding
Wendy tells us, “Shawn proposed to Marla in June 2012 at the Seattle Space Needle. They dreamed of a beach wedding, but didn’t know when or where they would do it. After being invited to a family member’s Hawaii wedding, they started to think that Maui would be the perfect location. The family member’s wedding location and date was changed, so Marla & Shawn decided to go ahead and book a flight anyways to have their dream beach wedding, just the two of them.”

There I shot their engagement pictures. We decided to shoot around the Brooklyn Bridge Park which Megan suggested. The park was was a great spot with plenty of scenic spots.
