Did you know your wedding flowers don’t have to wilt and die after the wedding day? It is, in fact, possible to make your wedding flowers last forever and today we’re going to show you how it’s done. The good news is it can be done without a green thumb, water, sunshine, or fertilizer! Read on to find out more…
I love fresh flowers just like the next girl, but I hate when they die. Have you seen that episode of Whitney where she is trying to prove to Alex that she doesn’t think romance is lame? In the episode (A Decent Proposal), Whitney and Alex are at a restaurant and a flower lady approaches them. Here’s how the conversation went down…
Flower Lady: Flower for the lady?
Alex: You know what? No, my girlfriend hates roses.
Whitney: Oh, I actually never said that; I said that I think it’s weird that men show women affection by ripping something beautiful out of the ground and making them watch it die very slowly.
Now, I don’t agree completely (like I said, I love flowers like the next girl) but throwing them away is just sad, especially when it’s your beautiful blooming hand-picked bouquet from your wedding. So… we’ve found out how to make your wedding flowers last forever and the answer is: skip fresh altogether! Instead of fresh flowers, opt for flowers of another material, such as paper. Paper bouquets can be hand-selected in your favorite colors and will last long after the I Do’s. Plus, they require no refrigeration (ideal for weddings off the beaten path or in the middle of hot, humid July). To share with you some inspiration, check out these beautiful (+ affordable!) bouquets we spotted via Take Flight Creations. Most of these bouquets are only (wait for it…) $10 each (!) and we can hardly believe our eyes. Aren’t these gorgeous? This means you can combine a bunch for a huge bridal bouquet, buy bouquets for your bridesmaids, decorate the pews, place a few on centerpieces… the possibilities are endless.
