The bridal clutch purse is an essential accessory for your wedding day. That is, of course, unless you are a bride who found the perfect gown with pockets. My gown did not have pockets; instead, I had the privilege of carrying my mother’s clutch purse from her wedding day. It was a gorgeous, handmade ivory clutch with beading, delicate lace and the softest silk satin. It was my ‘something borrowed’, a gift my grandmother presented to my mother on her wedding day.
The bridal clutch is more than just a fashion accessory – it’s an emergency kit. Let’s say you have a superwoman maid of honor who carries a rescue kit with the day’s essentials. That’s terrific, but sometimes you need something and you need it now. For instance, perhaps you want to freshen your breath after dinner before chatting with guests. Avoid the whole ‘how’s-my-breath’ smell test scenario (it’s not charming); just grab a mint and gab away! Your clutch purse will carry all your must-haves, just in case. ;)
Sara of Cady Briar is an Emmaline Bride artisan (featured in the marketplace!) with a flair for fashion. She is savvy with satin, silk and all things lace and can design the perfect custom clutch for you. One of our favorite features of a Cady Briar clutch is the customization factor. For instance, say you wanted to buy clutches for your entire bridal party as a gift. She can embroider the initials of each bridesmaid, as well as change the lining color to match the dress (or the bridesmaid’s favorite color).
* Brides: Want to add a subtle ‘something blue’? The clutch purse lining is a perfect disguise. Besides, not every bride wants to wear a blue garter, blue underpants, or a pair of blue earrings. We get it.)

I just love the clutch with the blue flower. Darling with the feather touches.
I love the idea as the ‘something blue’ with the flower. Or, have the lining blue and customize the flower color to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. That would be cute, too! Thanks, Jen!

These are very pretty clutches. Would love to have any of them to call my own.
Me too. If only I could buy everything we featured here… my closet would be amazing (but my pocket book disagrees with the idea). Thanks for stopping by, Margaret! Glad you like them.

Goorgeous! I also love the idea of using them for bridesmaids instead of their bouquets. Too chic!
That is a great idea for a bouquet alternative!

Wow! Those are all gorgeous but I am loving the one with feathers and I’m usually not into feathers!
I’m the same way! These are so soft and subtle, so I think it works. Thanks for stopping by, Alicia!

These are lovely! I love the idea of having the ‘something blue’ inside the purse… a perfect solution for a bride whose color palette is anything but blue!
Kristin,
It is definitely a unique way to add a subtle ‘something blue’. Thanks for stopping by!
