One reason (out of 93942902) why we love handmade wedding items is the ability to request a custom order just for you. For example, jewelry in stores simply cannot compete with the quality of handmade custom jewelry to tie in your color palette or wedding theme. And, unlike big box chains, handmade artisans are usually delighted to fill custom orders and work with brides one-on-one. One talented artisan who loves custom orders is Amy of Helen Ethel Studio. When Amy receives a custom order from a bride, she doesn’t just create a beautiful piece – she creates totally custom jewelry styled just for you. So, when a bride-to-be named Katie requested a custom jewelry order for her upcoming June wedding, Amy took on the challenge. Katie, who sounds like a sweetheart of a bride, gave Amy full artistic reign and only asked that her jewelry reflect her vintage aesthetic and coordinate with her color palette. Ready for the challenge, Amy got to work and selected brass to tie in Katie’s love for vintage jewelry while complementing the rich of sapphire and lime green nicely. A multi-strand necklace was selected as the style for a layered look, which will look beautiful worn with the bridesmaids’ sleeveless sapphire blue dresses. The final result? Read on to see for yourself!
Custom Jewelry Styled for You
The necklace contains faceted cobalt blue beads which are vintage (from the early 1920’s!) with olive jade rounds and faceted brass beads for each of the three designs. Two designs stand out from the others which feature glass micro-seed beads (Vintage Czech) and brass flower stampings. We love what she created!
Beautiful work, Amy! We think Katie and her bridesmaids will look lovely in these bold necklaces!
