Your wedding date is set, the location is breathtaking, and the guest list is finalized. Now, you’re ready to pick out the perfect wedding invitations to set the tone of your beautiful day. But, before you jump into the beautifully busting world of wedding paper, we’re here to give you a helping hand. Gone are the days of standard, boring, sign-here-and-print wedding invitations that give guests just the basics: the who, what, when, and where of the wedding day. At Emmaline Bride, we think know that wedding invitations without personalization do essentially nothing to get up your guests for your upcoming day. Handmade wedding invitations, however, offer a modern flair that can do wonders to get your guests excited. When selecting your invitations, consider handmade wedding invitations. If you’re wondering why, we’re ready with a list of five reasons why handmade wedding invitations rock along with inspiration by Cricket Printing‘s new 2012 collection. Enjoy!
5 Reasons Why Handmade Wedding Invitations Rock
1. Made with love.
It’s no surprise that at Emmaline Bride we love handmade wedding items. Invitations are no exception! Handmade wedding invitations are made with love, two hands, and you can request special order customization straight from the designer to suit your specific style.
2. Custom color palettes available.
Instead of selecting from a few basic color choices, many handmade wedding invitations offer the ability to customize the colors to match your wedding palette perfectly. If there isn’t a color you see that works, just ask! Many designers are happy to create a custom suite just for you.
3. Affordability.
Forget what you thought you knew about handmade being synonymous with expensive. Most handmade selections offer pricing comparable to any you’d find from a print store or studio. Don’t rule out handmade because you assume it will cost a pretty penny; you’d be surprised how affordable many invitation options can truly be. Plus, unlike larger chains, some designers are willing to work with you on a payment plan. When in doubt, just ask! They won’t bite.
4. High-quality at its finest.
Handmade wedding invitations – particularly any located in The Marketplace – aren’t anything you’d find after a session of arts and crafts. These wedding invitations are incredibly high-quality and printed on the finest cardstock or linen papers. The designers are backed by years of experience and talent and most invitations are individual works of art. In fact, we think most handmade wedding invitations are frame-worthy!
5. Wedding theme ready.
Handmade offers the ability to tie in your wedding theme in unexpected places. For instance, if you’re planning a unique theme – like a coffee themed wedding, circus themed wedding, or nautical themed wedding – it’s easy to find a coordinating invitation suite to suit your theme. For a cohesive theme, tie in your invitation to set the tone of your day and get guests geared up to attend!

These designs are so modern and beautiful.
I took a moment to check out Cricket Printing’s website, and fell in love with a few of the other designs. The Amanda is very simple and classic, makes me wish I was having an outdoor wedding.
