Hi, loves! Emma here. This past weekend, I attended a wedding where the bride’s pig, Dexter, was walked down the aisle by the official ring bearer. Thankfully, the pig did not actually carry the rings — the Ring Bearer did — otherwise the rings would never have made it to the Best Man. (Poor Dexter squealed and adamantly refused to move another inch.) But he was so cute, all dressed up in a bow tie! You can see Dexter the Pig right here.
It doesn’t matter if your nephew or best friend’s son walks your rings down the aisle… the important thing is to get the rings to the other side successfully. That’s why we love a ring dish as a ring pillow alternative. There’s no fussy ribbon for trying rings or having to worry about the rings slipping off the pillow and onto grass, getting buried in sand, or sliding across tile floor. Instead, rings are placed inside a small dish that is slightly deep enough to stay put and be readily available for the Best Man, when needed during the vows. Plus, unlike a ring pillow, you’ll actually re-use your ring dish after the wedding to hold small jewelry.
Check out these beautiful ring dishes we spotted over at Elycia Camille, ring dish expert! We love these sweet dishes, which can be customized with your initials and wedding date. Take a look!
