Hi, loves! We’re kicking off this Friday morning with a new Ask Emmaline question! Bride-to-be Leah writes us with the following:
“I’m planning a beach wedding and looking for invitations. I haven’t decided on colors or other details yet but I wanted to get some ideas with invitations first. Do you have any recommendations?”
Hi, Leah! Invitations are a great place to get started when you’re trying to pull together colors and theme accents for your wedding. It is similar to decorating: it is easier to choose curtains or bedding before paint color, rather than trying to find a pattern you love that also matches the paint. In this way, you can look for invitations first and then begin to pull together other elements of your wedding. Or at the very least, you’ll decide on what colors you do or don’t want, hopefully finding something you love in the process. To get started, I’ve pulled together a few beach wedding invitations from Cricket Printing. Although this designer doesn’t focus solely on beach inspired prints, her watercolors and starfish wedding invitations are some of the prettiest we’ve ever seen. Take a look…
Beach Wedding Invitations
Let’s begin with my favorites from the collection: these starfish wedding invitations in light blue. They’re so pretty!
I also love it in coral, shown below:
If you want to mix in some texture, check out these invitations with a gold or silver starfish (which can be a shell, anchor, or palm tree, if you prefer). Then, follow through by incorporating either gold or silver accents (just a few touches here and there) throughout your decor.
If you’re into watercolor like I am, you’ll really love these subtle aqua shades. The way they’re designed reminds me of waves.
Or try these invitations which feature an even bolder pop of aqua:
Some couples opt for a nautical theme with stripes or an anchor pattern. Here are two examples:
And last but not least, a palm print is always a perfect fit for a beach wedding!
These are just a handful of the beautiful invitations we spotted, so feel free to browse the complete collection here.
I hope it helps! Good luck planning your beautiful beach wedding! And be sure to check out these beach wedding tips here, too.
