Casa Marina Wedding
The photographer, Filip, tells us, “Erika & Charlie’s wedding was fabulous to the very last detail. We are so happy we got to be part of their big day because it was a true pleasure. They both come from Pasadena, TX, and we’d say they were meant to be! They even share the same birthday – November 7th… how romantic!”
About the Bride: Erika was always and active child, loved sports and playing outside. She was considered a tomboy, always climbing the trees and playing rough with the boys in the neighborhood. She graduated from the University of Houston Downtown with a BA in Teaching and is proud mother of the cutest little boy named Larry. She has a loving personality, is very outgoing and her smile brings joy to everyone.
About the Groom: Charlie has also very outgoing and great personality. Growing up he was all about sports, loved to play soccer, football and basketball. He enjoys the beach and outdoors and always dreamed to find a beautiful person to marry.
How did they meet: A mutual friend invited them to TGI Fridays. They become great friends after playing Trivia (Team Chop Onions) and it became their every Thursday activity… they loved winning 3rd place prize, which was a free dessert that Erika then shared.
The proposal: Charlie had every detail planned out from dinner, fake flat tire, horse carriage, wine in Downtown Houston… but Erika was complaining she was tired and wanted to go home. So I asked – You want to be my wife? And she said YES.
Why Key West: They visited Key West in 2011 and Erika felt in love with the city and atmosphere. So they decided to get married here.
What’s planned for the future: The happy couple would like to return to Key West every year and get married at a Catholic Church on June 23, 2018 for their 5 year anniversary.”
