Last week, we talked about alternative wedding ring ideas and we loved the feedback we received! Today we’re sharing seven alternative engagement ring ideas you will absolutely love. If you’re getting engaged soon, vaguely hinting at, or popping the question soon, this is the post for you! We know diamonds are the most popular engagement ring option, but remember… a diamond is certainly not your only option. And, handcrafted engagement rings? They’re totally custom and made just for you. In this post, we’ll show you how the lovely Kristin Coffin has redefined the engagement ring world with her collection of unique, handcrafted engagement rings. If you thought you were a traditional diamonds-only girl, think again: these designs might totally change your mind. (P.S. If you’re vaguely hinting at your favorite design, just leave this post open on his browser or pin these images like crazy on your Pinterest boards. He’ll get the hint.) 7 Alternative Engagement Ring Ideas
Ready to be inspired? Let’s begin with one of my favorites: the emerald Moissanite twig engagement ring. This is gorgeous.
1. Emerald Moissanite Twig Engagement Ring
Like many of Kristin’s designs, this engagement ring is cast from a real branch for a ‘twig’-like appearance. Unlike any ring you’ve ever seen, this emerald moissanite engagement ring is made with a sparkling radiant-cut and emerald-shaped Moissanite. I love the vintage-inspired beaded bezel setting (perfect for vintage-loving brides!)
You HAVE TO see the side view of this ring. It’s incredible.
2. Red Diamond Twig Engagement Ring
The red diamond engagement ring is made from rose cut diamonds, which have been individually hand-cut (so each is one-of-a-kind!) This entire ring is handcrafted from start to finish and is perfect for everyday wear.
3. Pear Diamond Engagement Ring in White Gold
The rose cut rustic pear diamond is made from a solid recycled white gold band. It has a cool color palette and a bold, secure bezel. The sparkling facets make this piece a stunner from the aisle to forever after.
4. Chocolate Diamond Engagement Ring
I’ve never seen or heard of a chocolate diamond before, so this engagement ring totally stood out to me. In this ring, you’ll find a sparkling chocolate diamond surrounded by Kristin’s signature Twig Halo ring. The thick Halo is a bold setting, which gives you a vintage feel. Can be worn by itself or stacked for maximum wow-factor.
Here’s what this one looks like stacked with a twig band:
5. Diamond Halo Engagement Ring with Twig Band
The diamond halo engagement ring has a soft and earthy aesthetic. It features a natural untreated diamond with a rustic quality and gorgeous faceting. This one is set in a band cast from a real branch in solid recycled yellow gold.
6. Blue Sapphire Engagement Ring
If you’re a bride who loves a pop of color, the blue sapphire engagement ring is the one for you! (It’s easily your ‘something blue’, also.) For this feature, I had trouble picking between the blue sapphire engagement ring set in the ‘Halo’ band and Kristin’s other sapphire rings… but this is one of my all-time favorites. It features a ceylon blue sapphire which is bezel-set and surrounded by the signature Twig halo band. This sapphire is a dark, vibrant cobalt blue color.
7. Oval Moissanite Engagement Ring
And, last but not least, take a peek at the oval Moissanite engagement ring. This ring has the look of a traditional oval diamond ring, but it’s anything but ordinary. This ring features a large sparkling oval Moissanite set on a gorgeous twig engagement band.

Holy cow. Seriously, I don’t know how one could pick between these… and there’s plenty more where these came from! To see the full collection, head over to Kristin Coffin. And… tell us below: which of these alternative engagement rings is your favorite?

Happy Planning!

I think my girlfriend would like the last one the most. She really loves the outdoors, so the siding would catch her interest. Maybe I’ll look for some similar rings in my area. Thank you for the great idea! http://elitejewelryandloan.com/our-services.html
