If you’re here, you’re looking for wedding dresses under $500. And that means two things: you want to spend the money elsewhere, like a kick you-know-what menu, an amazing band, have a little honeymoon money, or, ya know, you’re just trying living your best life!
And not spend a ton on a dress you’ll wear one time.
A wedding dress doesn’t need to cost upwards of $2000 to be something special. A wedding gown doesn’t need a price tag of $1500 to be beautiful. If a bride wears a dress that costs $150, she will glow with the same radiance as a bride wearing one that costs 10x more. It’s not the dress — it is the bride wearing it that makes the dress truly lovely.
The bottom line is, it doesn’t matter how much you spend. All that matters is that YOU love your dress. And how you feel when you put it on.
When I put on my wedding dress, the worry of whether or not I would find The One melted away. It just… fit. Like a glove. Sure, it needed a few adjustments as any dress might, but it felt like MY dress. And I hope that you find the same thing when you try yours on for the first time, too.

Where to Buy Wedding Dresses Under $500
These handmade wedding dresses under $500 are by MilaBridal.
There are few shops on Etsy with dressmakers that are passionate about crafting wedding dresses for brides on a budget without sacrificing on the quality of the garment or communication with the bride-to-be.
Brides rave about working with Nika. And although many brides are hesitant at first about buying THE dress online, every review had glowing praise for their handmade dress, the quality, and craftsmanship, and most of all, the willingness of Nika to communicate and work with them one-on-one on a beautiful wedding dress that fit their budget.
Note: Not all gowns in the shop are wedding dresses under $500. There are some more luxury gowns that are higher on the price-point, but still worth a look! ;) We’ve curated this list to show you only the dresses for the bride that are under 500 dollars.
We begin with a lace crop top and flowy skirt combination — a highly sought-after style right now.
1. Arwen Lace Crop Top + Skirt, $490
This wedding gown has a lace crop top and skirt combination. This is one of the sought-after wedding dresses under 500 dollars with sleeves: many dresses you find cost more with sleeves, but not this pretty dress! See it here.
2. Nessa Chiffon Dress with Empire Waist, $480
This beautiful chiffon dress has an empire waist and beading; the classic, simple silhouette is perfect as a beach wedding dress or as a free-flowing boho dress. Available here. This dress is made in ivory or white.
4. Elizabeth Grey Blue Wedding Dress, $450
This is a BEAUTY! I love these grey blue wedding dresses as a fun, modern “something blue” for the bride. This skirt is fit for a queen and will look dreamy dancing the night away. See more details here.
5. Beach Wedding Dress, $450
This flowy dress is ideal for the bride who loves a simple and minimalist style with a flowy skirt. This is so beautiful! See it here.
6. Two-piece Bohemian Dress, $490
For both pieces, this is one of the wedding dresses under $500 that is amazing for a beach or outdoor wedding venue. It is feminine, modern, and has a fantastic silhouette. Available here.
7. Emmy Beach Wedding Dress, $499
This pretty wedding dress is amazingly under $500. It is enveloped in delicate beads and pearls with a sheer skirt that is ready for twirling. See it here.
8. Skirt and Lace Top Wedding Dress, $375
This is one of my favorites on the list for wedding dresses that cost less than 500 dollars. Actually, this costs less than $400. Can you believe it? I love the long lace sleeves! See it here.
Okay, now that you’ve seen the top wedding dresses under $500… let us share a few more at slightly over the $500 mark. :)
Wedding Dresses SLIGHTLY OVER $500
IF YOU’RE WILLING TO SPEND A BIT MORE…
We spotted this boho wedding dress that is absolutely stunning and with this combination, it is $590.
So, yes, I know… technically, it is not one of the wedding dresses under $500 but you can’t blame us for falling in love with it! Check out the detail of the bodice… the lace is incredible! This dress is called Riki and it is available in bridal separates if you prefer. See it here. Don’t forget a cute fedora!
And another bonus: the Dalarna. It is listed at $395, which includes just the bodysuit or just the skirt; together, they combine to $790, which is still an amazing price. The style of this gown is just incredible: I love it for a bride looking to pull off a minimalist and simple look with an elegant and fun high-low hem. See it here.
The Lorelai is another set of separates, $395 each piece. While not technically one of the wedding dresses under $500, it still falls under the realm of pretty affordable, with the entire dress costing under $800 if you choose both elegant pieces together. The top features long lace sleeves and classic bridal buttons on the back. I love this look! See it here.
That’s not all: there are many more dresses to fall in love with inside the shop. I recommend checking out The Augusta Strapless; it is one of the prettiest wedding dresses this year and it’s under $700.

So, what do you think? Which style here is your favorite? I love how the crop top and skirt options are such a popular choice; it is fun to imagine mix-and-matching your own bridal gown based on the top you like (whether it has sleeves or not, embroidery, lace, tulle, or all of the above, etc.) It is truly amazing how far wedding gowns have come by being available online! There are so many options at your fingertips, all just a click away. :)
And now that you have some ideas on what kind of wedding dress to wear, it’s time to dress up those feet. But don’t get stuck wearing a pair of ill-fitting, cringe-worthy heels. Let’s get you a pair of the most comfortable wedding shoes!
