Another beautiful summer day, another Ask Emmaline question! This question was sent to us from a mother of the bride. Nicole wants to know where to get a wedding dress drawing of her daughter’s dress and future son-in-law’s tuxedo as a gift for their wedding. She writes,
“Where can I find a wedding dress drawing? I saw one on Facebook of a bride’s dress and the groom’s tuxedo and want to get something similar for my daughter. She’s getting married in October. How does it work? Where can I get one made? Thanks.”
Wedding Dress Drawing
Hi Nicole! Thanks for writing. A wedding dress sketch or drawing is a unique gift you can give to your daughter, one you certainly can’t find on a wedding registry or in-store. I like the idea of a wedding dress drawing given as a bridal shower gift; that is, if you can manage to get a photo of the dress (and colors and style of the tuxedo) from the bride. Wedding dress drawings from Dreamlines, the expert in wedding dress sketches, are made from a photo of the dress / tuxedo. Some people buy a wedding dress drawing as a post-wedding gift, as it’s easier to get the bride and groom in photos of the dress and tuxedo. However, it’s up to you! Either way, a wedding dress sketch makes an incredible gift she is going to absolutely love.
Examples of Wedding Dress Sketches
The wedding dress sketches we found by Dreamlines are completely custom. Each sketch is hand-drawn and made from a photo of the bride’s dress / groom’s tuxedo. You can choose the colors to accentuate, perhaps tying in the wedding color palette, if you’d like.
Here are some examples of dress drawings previously made for couples.
You can add “extras”, like include the newlyweds’ pets, boutonnieres, details like a bow, sash or bridal hanger, or even the bouquet.
The illustrations are so incredible! Take a look at the shop to see more examples; you’re going to love them!
