Have you ever worn a pair of handmade ballet flats? I mean, truly handcrafted leather flats?
I have, as of about 9am this morning — thanks to the team at Fuchsia Shoes! I’m here to show you what it’s like to wear a real, authentic pair of handmade ballet flats, what they feel like, and whether they’re as comfortable as they look online.
For starters, I was intrigued by the way these flats appear online. They are beautifully embellished, with beadwork, sequins, and embroidered stitching.
They’re made with leather, finely-stitched, and designed with layers to add premium comfort.
These HANDMADE ballet flats don’t just pose as such; they actually are!
Brides are loving these unique, comfortable, and custom handmade shoes and flats from Fuchsia and all the fun colors that are available. If you’re going to wear flats, you may as well choose a pair of comfortable handmade ballet flats that you’ll definitely want to wear again.
These also make stylish shoes for your bridesmaids (and the kind of comfort that will make them dance the night away on the dance floor with you!)
I received the shoes quickly and well-packaged in a box, and here’s how pretty just the shoe box is! Right off the bat, they really care about every detail, right down to the shoe box itself.
I couldn’t wait to open them up! These ballet flats are packaged so well and the first thing I noticed when opening them up? The leather smell. Mmmm, the smell of new shoes is always a good one!
See how they sparkle and shine? This style is called Portia and they are:

I couldn’t wait to try them on.
Here are a few snapshots of the shoes, right out of the box!
Why These Handmade Ballet Flats Are Different
I’ve tried other handmade flats before, and they’re all about the same price, boast the same features, and yet, none can compare to how these beauties feel on my feet. One thing that is truly unique about these flats is there is no ‘left’ and ‘right’. You can kind of pick one or the other, and then I believe they start to mold to your feet and they’re more defined. But I found this to be wildly comfortable and didn’t feel strange in the least.
Secondly, there are noticeable layers of comfort. I have wide feet, so I was excited to see they offer a wide option.
Other notable things you’ll love: these handmade ballet flats are lightweight, they don’t rub on the back of my feet (yay, no blisters!), they are eco-friendly, and they conform to YOUR feet over time.
The leather they use is premium: you can smell it and feel it. Even the stitching around the leather soles is impeccable. The hand-sewn beadwork, sequins, and stitched accents are amazing. I’ve never owned a pair of handmade ballet flats like these before.
When slipping them on — ahhhh — you’ll find they’re luxurious and instantly comfortable. These are truly one-of-a-kind shoes that feel extra-special: someone made them for you! There are vegan leather shoes available, too, if you prefer.
Don’t mind me, I’ll just be here lounging around in my handmade flats!
