How did your love story begin? Mine began at a high school basketball game. I noticed him noticing me, and I leaned back to sneak a peek at him. Cute, I thought. I saw him laughing with his friend, and he had a nice smile. Very cute, I thought. And charming. We got to talking …. and the rest is history. :)
My best girlfriend met her now fiancee at a college frat party. Her brother had recently pledge this particular frat, and being a protective big brother he forbade her to date anyone in the fraternity. Of course, that makes it irresistible, right? So, she met a boy there (her brother eventually approved) and they are planning a July 2011 wedding.
Another friend of mine met her boyfriend – now fiancee – via an online dating site, and, no, it wasn’t Craiglist – but isn’t that a cute card? {above} They met and connected instantly, dated for about two years, and got engaged earlier this year.
My grandmother met my grandfather at an ice skating rink, and when they started talking he took a liking to her. He offered to give her a ride home, and they were happily married for more than 50 years!
People meet in all kinds of places, at different moments in life, and at precise moments in time. Your love story is unique – people may know the jest of it, but only the couple knows the true, untold story of how it all began.
When I discovered these posters at Something Blue I had to share it with you. Share your one-liner by displaying in your love nest. And, next time you are chatting over your morning cup of coffee, you will remember how it all began. ♥
I LOVE hearing stories about how people met. It’s sharing time, lovelies: how did you meet your significant other?
love,
-E.

My fiance and I met through Campus Crusade for Christ, a Christian missions organization that we are both still involved in. It was a case of being in the right place at God's timing in our lives.
Fate stepped in when I was in the same dorm as two guys Kyle went to high school with, Matt and Austin (who later were groomsman). I instantly became friends with both of them, spending much of my time with either one of them. They would often fight and I would let one sleep in my room and I would sleep in his bed to allow for separation! Anyway, I went to visit Matt one Christmas break with my best friend Jessica. Matt's Mom suggested inviting Kyle over in hopes of setting up Jessica. We met at a Christmas Lights Festival that Sedona holds every year. We wandered around sipping hot cider. The four of us spent the evening together playing games and drinking beer. Kyle was in a college 4 hours away from us. We chatted online and started building a friendship. A year later, he switched colleges and we started dating. The rest is history. So I guess our one liner might be, "It all began surrounded by Christmas Lights, under the stars, with hot cider in hand."
@EmiciBridal @CharityWedding Here, lovelies! http://emmalinebride.com/weddings-gifts/…
Me and my fiance were best friends for eight years before we admitted our love for each other. I would guess our love started with a trip downtown Seattle. That very night, we were both up all night texting.
I mew my now husband my first day of my new job at Best Buy. He walked up to the other new girl and I, threw his arms around both our shoulders and said, "hey, let's have a threesome". I slapped him and freaked out, but we have been together since 2004. He may not have the best pick up lines, but he has my heart.
I met my now husband at a local restaurant/bar! I was the hostess (i guess with the mostest haha). One of my good friends was dating his friend so I had seen him around in college and afterward. His friends lived in a house right by the bar I worked at and they would come in to Sunday brunch after a long night of going out :) I have to admit, I was dating someone, but he was very persistent. The very first thing we did alone was take my then puppy to the dog park. We had so much fun and it just spiraled from there. Here we are about 6 years later and happily married. He truly is my best friend <3
"It all began at Rutgersfest 2001…" He was cute, I was a wee bit tipsy- and we've been together, literally ever since! Almost 10 years, a house, a baby and 3 cats later :)
My husband & I met on match.com almost 3 years ago. We're not at all shy about telling people where we met because it worked for us! When I saw his photo in my inbox, I felt like I could see all the different sides of him already. We met for coffee that same night. Our wedding was 08.09.10…
And we promised to always tell people how we met. Kind of amazing, b/c literally if not Craigslist, I never would have met AN-E-ONE like my FH :) Hmmmm…. a good one-liner: It all began with a "click" of faith
You go, Jackie! If it worked for you, that's awesome! :) :)
Don't knock Craigslist y'all! WORKED FOR ME :) :) :) :)
LOVE this idea and hearing the stories of how folks met! :)
What a cute idea! Very sweet! I'm going to save this link :) For me, "It all began at the Apple Store…" We both worked there… he asked me out three times before I finally said yes. So happy he was persistent!
It all began on the slopes! Me snowboarding and Nick skiing!
What a cute idea! For me, "It all began in ECN 301". My husband and I met in economics class in college. I asked for a highlighter, he asked for my number. Game, set, match. ;)
"It all began in the Peace Corps in Ghana."
