Hey, lovelies! We have a new Ask Emmaline question for you: what’s a good gift for the groom from the bride on the wedding day? Stephanie submitted this question to us earlier this month and we now have the answer. Well, fifteen answers for her and for all of you! She writes,
Hi Emmaline, My best friend got married a few months ago and she asked me what I’m planning to give to Mark (my fiance) during our gift exchange. I didn’t even know about a gift exchange. Is this a new tradition and if so what am I supposed to give him as a gift? Thanks in advance.
Hey, Stephanie! Great question. For starters, this gift exchange hubbub of a gift for the groom or a gift for the bride started becoming a trend in the last five years or so, I’d say; before then, people either did it and never really said anything about it, or it wasn’t popular enough to make the rounds on Pinterest yet. ;)
The tradition of a gift exchange between the groom and the bride is totally up to you. There is no necessity to it (you don’t have to do one, obviously) but if you want to surprise the groom with a gift, we say go for it! Who doesn’t love a surprise gift? To give you some ideas on what brides typically give the groom as a gift on the wedding day, here are some cool gifts he’ll love.
P.S. If you’re the groom reading this, here’s a list of gift ideas for the bride from the groom!
