• Handmade Lovebirds: April and Michael’s Real Wedding!

We’re excited to show off these great wedding photos from Kristina of Kristina Hill Photography. Kristina’s sister is the lovely bride and the handmade details are amazing! Check them out for yourself after a few words from Kristina.

Kristina tells us, “April and Michael were married at the Stroudsmore Country Inn in Stroudsburg, PA and their wedding site was called Woodsgate. It was an outdoor chapel with wooden benches, surrounded by tall fall trees. My sister is a graphic designer and she designed pretty much all of the details of her wedding – programs, menus, logo, favors, etc.

Lastly, her invites were screen-printed vintage handkerchiefs and her response cards were mad libs (they were pretty cool!). It was all wrapped up with a tree bark printed paper ‘ribbon’. Thank you notes (which are mixes from their wedding night music, because all night people complimented them on how ‘unique’ and ‘them’ the music played was) printed on cd’s that look like records are in the works!”

Birdseed packets were designed by April and sewn by the groom’s mother with the old saying ‘”cause being single is for the birds”!

Favors/Place Cards were miniature journals (Anthropologie) with bookcovers made and hand stamped by April – each guest’s name was on the spine, table numbers on front & message on back! Family photos were strung throughout venue.

The Junior Bridesmaid/Flower Girl/Ring Bearer in one! Her flowers were sewn into dress so her hands were free to carry the rings.

The gown is by J.Crew and it’s called Dune.
I fell in love with it when I saw it, and when I tried it on I knew it was the gown for me!
