Do you envision a classic wedding infused with a soft pastel color palette, sophisticated touches of glamour by way of lustrous pearls and vintage inspired lace, and an elegant seaside wedding venue? Then you’ll fall head-over-heels in love with this styled shoot captured by Christine Glebov Photography and designed by Your Moments – Wedding & Event Planning. The venue they selected was an exceptional choice. Christine tells us, “When the idea for this wedding shoot initiated, we knew right away The Lighthouse at Glen Cove Marina in Vallejo, California would be the perfect venue. Surrounded by majestic yachts and sailboats and lovely bay views, the pristine newly restored Lighthouse is a 1910 historic landmark with large windows throughout and grand white column verandas. Adjacent to the estate is a private boat dock where newlyweds and guests can charter their own yacht or sailboat. Courtesy of Bay View Charters, that is exactly what our couple, Nick and Laurel, did to enjoy the warm sunset and refreshing bay breeze.”
In this seaside wedding styled shoot, you’ll find pastel inspired floral design by Megan Haney Designs, pearls, lace, silver mercury glass, candlelight, crystal, elegant calligraphy, and much more. As Christine put it so eloquently, this shoot is “seaside meets classic Hollywood“. We couldn’t agree more! Take a look…
Sea Inspired Wedding Ideas / Styled Shoot
To set the tone for this seaside wedding, A Quaint Soiree created a customized handwritten watercolor calligraphy invitation suite and linen banner. The linen banner (shown below) was displayed alongside a sailboat with the saying Like the Sea has Pearls, You Have My Heart.
This calligraphy (also by A Quaint Soiree) is gorgeous!
Sheer white curtains flowed in the breeze and outlined the boat filled harbor as a backdrop for the ceremony. Romantic and soft pastel floral designs by Megan Haney Designs adorned the ceremony site, along with glowing candles inside vintage inspired lanterns.
Your Moments – Wedding & Event Planning styled the elegant sweetheart table with items from Pleasanton Rentals. The use of light blue linens, pearl napkin rings, white plantation design plateware, silver mercury glass with glowing candlelight, classic crystal and elegant flowers all looked enchanting and harmonized with our inspiration design of seaside meets classic Hollywood.
Sculpted waves and opalescent pearls look so fluid cascading on the wedding cake, alongside the lustrous pearl shaped white chocolate truffles, both created and designed by Cakes Made M.E.
Christine tell us: “The Bride, Laurel, looked gorgeous wearing a La Sposa Pronovias dress and veil provided by I Do Bridal Boutique. We just love the lace and pearl details! The waves in Laurel’s long hair were styled by I Do Dry Style and beautiful soft makeup by Kristen Calderaro. The Groom, Nick, looked charming in a three-piece Egara shark grey suit and Tommy Hilfiger plaid bowtie, provided by the Men’s Wearhouse.”
These portraits of the couple on the boat are some of our favorites! PRO-TIP: If you’re planning a seaside wedding, be sure to add portraits like these to your list of must-have wedding photos.
