Hi, lovelies! Happy Monday! We’re happy to be back in action and we have an awesome week lined up ahead (so be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss it)! To kick things off, we’re sharing some of our favorite something blue ideas prompted by our latest Ask Emmaline question from bride-to-be, Tara. She asks,
I’m looking for something blue ideas but I’m on a very strict budget. Do you have any suggestions for things I can find which aren’t very expensive? Thanks!
Hi Tara! Great question: when you’re planning your wedding, things can add up really quickly, even if you have a very large budget. If fitting in the ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue’ doesn’t feel like it’s in your budget, don’t worry. There are plenty of beautiful something blue ideas you can find at an affordable price.
Plus, when you think about it, the ‘Something Blue’ part of the old adage (Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and a Sixpence in your Shoe) is really the part for which you need to buy something additional. Your ‘something old’ can be something you already own; ‘something borrowed’ is free because you’re just borrowing it and giving it back to a loved one; and your ‘something new’ can be your wedding dress or shoes, which you are adding to your budget anyway! (P.S. You can get an inexpensive sixpence for your shoe here.) We’ve rounded up a handful of our favorite something blue ideas to help you, all with a price point of $30 or less (with many well-under that price!) Enjoy!
