Does anyone look good in a mask? Asking for a friend. :) I look hilarious in mine, but then again, it’s not about how you look when you wear it… right? The point is to not catch COVID-19 and not pass it on to anyone else, either. Since you may need to provide face masks to wedding guests at your reception, we’re here to help you pick out the kind of masks that won’t look hilarious, guests will not mind wearing them so much, and you won’t spend an arm and a leg on them since these face masks are heavily discounted when you buy masks in bulk.
This question came in from bride-to-be, Shila, planning her August wedding this summer. She’s not sure what kind of masks she’ll need for her guests and needs some advice. She writes,
“Hi Emmaline! I’m getting married in August after postponing my wedding earlier this year (it was scheduled originally in May). I really don’t want to postpone it again but I’m going to assume right now that our guests will have to wear face masks while at the indoor reception. It’s not for sure yet, but I’d like to plan ahead just in case (and to give guests face masks as favors in case they feel more comfortable wearing them). Do you know where to get face masks for wedding guests that look kind of cute, but aren’t too pricey? I really don’t like the standard medical masks but I’m not sure what else I can really even choose from… any suggestions are most helpful. Thanks!
Hi, Shila! Sorry to hear your wedding was postponed already once, and certainly we’d hate to have you change the date again! Sending you crossed fingers that everything goes smoothly for your big day. Regarding face masks for wedding guests, it’s interesting to know what will happen by then, whether guests will be mandated to wear them (depending on where you live and how many guests you have planned, too). It is good to plan ahead and be prepared for face masks to give to your guests, since some may wish to wear them even if they’re not required. That is great how you’re already anticipating this need, along with extra cost, since your venue may not necessarily provide them (and you may want a different style).
We shared some bulk priced masks recently, but there was only one style; since you were asking about other kinds of face masks for guests, and we want you to have plenty of price points, we got to work and did some digging for you. We found six places to shop face masks for wedding guests that aren’t ridiculous looking at all.
In fact, these face masks are kind of cute, if you can believe it!
So, here goes nothing: the COVID-19 post we didn’t think we’d still be writing in late June, but here we are! Presenting… the cutest wedding face masks for guests that aren’t horrible looking. Ha! :) We hope this list helps you navigate the wild world of wedding planning during Coronavirus. Crazy times, indeed!
P.S. These are NON-MEDICAL GRADE masks.
