Wondering how to print names on wedding place cards? Need to know where to print place cards with names? Don’t have an idea how it will look or simply don’t have time to do it yourself? We have the next best thing: place cards with names printed free! Read on for more + sign up for free updates to your inbox!
If you’re planning a wedding, you’re likely wondering where to get wedding place cards with names printed on them. Or perhaps you’ve wondered how to print your own wedding place cards.
Both are valid questions, but one is 100x easier than the other. ;)
If you don’t have the time, calligraphy skills, patience, or desire to print guest names on wedding place cards yourself, you’ve come to the right place! Who has time for all of that when you can get names printed free on the same cards you’re eyeing for your wedding anyway?
Bride-to-be Melissa wrote us with this question, the inspo behind this blog post. Since I know for a fact that others are wondering how to print on wedding place cards, too, let’s discuss this one.
She writes,
“Hi Emmaline, I’m seeing place cards with guest names on them and they look so nice! I’m trying to replicate it by printing my own place cards, but do you know how to do it? Is there a wedding place card template or something? I was looking at blank place cards from the craft store but I don’t know how to do the next steps. Thanks for your help!”
Great question, Melissa, and I’ve been there! I remember holding a place card template, a new cartridge of printer ink, and I was geared up, ready to go. :) I was planning to make my own place cards with guest names printed and then, thankfully, I realized there was a better way. But a lot of people don’t know about this option yet, and if they do, they assume personalized wedding place cards will cost too much. Wrong!
The best place, I’ve found, to print place cards for weddings is Minted. They offer FREE place card name printing with your order.
How does that work, exactly? It’s easy:
1. Pick out a place card design
They have dozens available here!
2. Purchase the place card design
3. Upload your guest list for guest name printing
Yep, it’s really that easy. When the place cards print, they’ll also print guest names onto the cards.
No fumbling around with a spreadsheet or document, no ink on your hands, no trying to guess if the place cards template you purchased will fit correctly. It really is so much easier than doing it yourself.
Plus, the fonts, designs, themes, and colors they offer are incredible. In addition, you can get folded wedding place cards (so they stand up on their own without the need for a holder).
TIP: You can score the fold to keep them standing up straight with one of these! I use mine all the time.
Place Card Template vs Escort Card
If you’re wondering whether you can only get place cards with names printed, think again: escort cards are also available with the same deal!
