Here’s a wedding advice question you may be wondering: “The venue says we can only toss real flowers. Where should we get petals for my flower girl to throw?”

When the venue tells you real flowers only, it can be annoying because you likely already scored a HUGE deal on bulk faux petals (hello, Amazon Prime Days) or bought some extra petalage on Facebook Marketplace. But don’t worry: the real deal, aka fresh flowers, isn’t that hard to find and actually we love the way it looks, smells, and biodegrades all on its own. Many wedding venues forbid tossing fake petals and other things because it’s such a mess to clean up, and worse, it’s bad for the birds and four-legged animals.
If your venue says you must only toss real petals or nothing at all, here’s what to get:
► FlauraeConfetti: This is THE PLACE to go for fresh flower confetti that is all natural, eco-friendly, and biodegradable. Plus, it looks and smells AMAZING. The seller is top-notch and has amazing reviews.
You can get all kinds of confetti, tossing packets, or cones. This place is the expert in real flowers for tossing at the ceremony.
“Toss with love”. How cute are these?!

Tip on Throwing Petals, Flowers, Etc. at a Ceremony
Here’s the rule: ALWAYS clean up after yourself! Don’t expect the venue to do it. Most require you to clean up after yourself unless the confetti will break down on its own. And designate a person to help with clean-up immediately after the ceremony.
If the Venue Prohibits Throwing Anything at the Ceremony
Some wedding venues say NO to throwing anything at your wedding. If this is the case, no prob: here’s what you can do instead!
► Have the flower girl carry a bouquet (no tossing, just walking it down the aisle)
► Blow bubbles (outdoors only, where you won’t be making a huge mess) This flower girl bubble machine is so cute!
► Ask the flower girl to carry a cute ribbon wand, like this (from SistersCreationsNH):
Happy Planning!
