It’s fall and that means one thing: I get to break out ALL my denim jackets. :) As a bride, you’re probably wondering what kind of wedding denim jacket to wear and when to start rockin’ that accessory around town.
To me, there’s never a wrong time to start wearing your bride jean jacket. You see, many people wait until the wedding day to pair it with their dress at the reception. It looks cute, and I understand it, but you should really get it out of your closet much sooner than that. If you do, you’ll only enjoy it longer — and you only get to be the bride once, so live it up!
Wedding Denim Jacket
Wedding jackets are trending and denim is at the forefront with many different ways the bride can rock a jean jacket: there’s classic blue with white writing, distresed blue jean with pearls, a cropped jacket, black denim, white jean jacket, and we’re also seeing boho-chic jackets with fringe.
In this blog post, I’m sharing my favorite wedding denim jacket trends, where to buy them, and how to wear them for your wedding celebrations. You’ll be surprised at how many opportunities will pop up where your coat will be the perfect topper — particularly as we head into cooler weather — so don’t wait! Start wearing yours ASAP and enjoy the spotlight. You’re the bride!
Let’s begin the list with one of my favorite bridal jackets on Etsy: a custom bride jean jacket by the awesome ModParty! We’re featuring a handful of their styles in this list because I’m obsessed with their collection. The prices? Also amazing.
Take a look!
1. Personalized Bride Jean Jacket
This is a super-cute bridal jacket you’ll want to start wearing right now (and I say, go for it!) It features a nice worn-in look and feel, silver sparkle patches, and features your new last name on the back. Love, love, love. By ModParty. Free shipping!
2. Bride Denim Jacket
This is another favorite Etsy bride jean jacket. It is a bridal denim jacket with pearls spelling out the word, “Bride”, or, if you prefer a custom option, “Mrs” and your last name. How cute! The jacket itself is a cropped jean style and slightly worn-in… so, in other words, it’s perfect! By SistersGShop.
3. + 4. Mrs Denim Jacket with Floral Design
This worn-in and whimsical Mrs jacket for the bride is one of my favorite finds. It has the cutest flower and ‘Mrs’ design on the back of a distressed, worn-in-and-perfect material. By ModParty at a fantastic price.
Prefer it in white? They offer this alternate color, too, via here.
5. Embroidered Bridal Jacket
Put your new name on the back of your wedding jacket! This style is fitted and cropped and features a darker blue denim color. By ThePaisleyBox.
6. Wedding Jacket in White Denim
You can’t go wrong with a white denim jacket! This wedding coat is perfect for you to wear with your gown and really stands out as The Bride! After all, you may see a denim jacket on a wedding guest in the crowd, but no one will be wearing one in white; that is reserved for you! Get it at TheBrodieBride.
7. Embroidered Jean Jacket for Bride
Want to get an embroidered style? This is the cutest worn-in denim jacket for the bride and features elegant embroidery on the back. By Bash.
8. + 9. Black Jean Jacket
Go chic and make the lettering really pop with this black denim jacket featuring “Future” or “Est. Year” when you pop the collar, “Mrs” and your Name, and the wedding year. Love this style! By PrettyRobesShop.
You’ll also love this denim coat with pearls and your name in a nice, thick and bold script! Also from PrettyRobesShop.
10. Blue Pearl Jean Jacket
11. Custom Denim Jacket with Pearls
This is my one of the best denim jackets for the bride based on its affordable price and rave reviews. People give this jacket rave reviews online and the price is awesome, coming in around $40. This is also a great choice for a bride denim jacket in a plus-size, as it is available with extending sizing from S to 5X. You can buy it here.
12. White Fringe
Boho brides: this is the perfect wedding day jacket! It features a solid white color, your name personalized on the back, and fabulous layers of fringe for that extra-fun tasseled look. By ModParty.
And last but not least, go sparkly! This wifey denim jacket is a lot of fun to wear. By ModParty.
And last but not least, check out this cute heart-shape on the back with your name! If I were a bride-to-be today, this is the one I would wear. Get it from Mod Party here.
How To Wear a Bride Jean Jacket
Once you decide what jacket you want to wear, you can either start rocking it right away or save it for your wedding.
Many brides decide to wear a jacket for their bachelorette party for a night on the town (or a cozy night in, i.e. a cabin bachelorette bash). Personally, I’d get one as soon as possible and start wearing it to all of the celebrations, including:
• Engagement Party
Pair your bride jacket with a blouse, skirt, and heels for a fun soiree.
• Bridal Shower
Wearing a little white dress for the shower? Perhaps a bridal shower jumpsuit? Accessorize it with a wedding denim jacket like this! Jacket via ModParty.
• Bachelorette Party
Go out with your gal pals for a night out and wear your jean jacket in lieu of a traditional sash or bride t-shirt.
• Rehearsal Dinner
Practice your walk down the aisle with your custom embrodiered jacket: it goes great with a skirt or dress for the occasion and a pair of super comfortable wedges or block heels.
• Morning of the Wedding
Pair your Mrs jacket with a favorite pair of leggings or joggers and get ready in style! Instead of a ‘bride’ shirt or button-down, you can rock a denim jacket — a cool, relaxed look.
• Wedding Reception
After the ceremony, warm up at your outdoor wedding. Indoors, rock it on the dance floor as a fun accessory. A bride jacket makes a fun alternate to a reception dress for a quick outfit change.
Put it in your suitcase! Your lighweight and packable denim jacket for your wedding becomes a new honeymoon bag must-have to wear on the beach, at the resort, and for a night out to dinner paired with a cute floral-print dress.
See how many cute outfits you can make with yours? It makes sense to wear your jacket as soon as you get it instead of saving it for wedding day attire.
On to you: are you wearing one of these jackets and, if so, which wedding denim caught your eye? Tell me in the comment box below!
