Are you wondering what kind of wedding shoes you should wear? Do you have to wear white or ivory? No! Let’s discuss… but first, subscribe!
Hi, lovelies! Emma here and today we’re fielding one of my favorite questions which came in to our Ask Emmaline. Anna asks,
“I found my dress and now I want to find the perfect shoes. Do you have any tips on what kind of wedding shoes I should wear? Does the bride have to wear a particular color or style? I’m worried my favorite pair won’t be “bridal” enough. Thanks!”
Great question, Anna! When it comes to wedding shoe tips, here’s my favorite part: you can wear ANY kind of shoes you want.
That means you can wear a pair of white or ivory heels, a pair of blue stilettos, purple pumps, hot pink slingbacks, flip flops, cowboy boots (ah, check out these!), sandals, high tops, red heels, etc.
If I was getting married in a barn wedding or outdoors, these would be mine!
There are no rules when it comes to wedding shoes — essentially, as long as you love them and they show off your personal style, they’ll work just fine! And you might want to also make sure they’re super comfortable, too!
You mentioned wanting a pair of heels that you already own but don’t feel “bridal” enough. If you’re worried they lack a certain bridal-inspired quality, have them embellished, like so:
