If you’re planning a winter wedding, you need to add a shawl to your list of wedding day must-haves. Today we’re telling you where to buy shawls for weddings and why you’ll absolutely want one of these…
Before we talk about where to buy wedding shawls, let’s talk about why you need one. And I should know because I was a December bride. In Michigan! It gets coooooold here and you never know what to expect when it comes to weather; it’s so unpredictable. You could have a beautifully mild winter wedding (we got lucky!) or yours could be bitter cold with ice and snow, so you will want to be prepared for anything Mother Nature throws at you. The day after our wedding, in fact, we got hit by a major snowstorm. Andrew and I were sipping Mai Tais on the beach on our honeymoon, though, so it really didn’t bother us! ;)
Even if you have a long sleeve wedding dress, you’ll still be a little chilly, you know, standing outside getting your photos taken. Running inside to warm up mid-shot isn’t the most time efficient thing to do either. And… that’s where a wedding shawl comes in handy. You’ll be staying nice and toasty warm in your sweater shawl. And your bridesmaids, can stay warm, too, as these shawls make awesome gifts for your girls.
So, add it to the list: you’ll want to get a shawl. Or a pashmina. Or a bridal jacket. ANYTHING! Just something to keep you warm; you’ll be glad you did.
