With this monogrammed garter giveaway going on this week (ending soon!), we thought it was the perfect time to share the latest Ask Emmaline question with you. Vanessa, asks, “I am ordering a garter online and it asks for my size. Since I can’t see it in person, I want to know where to size properly. I know it (obviously) goes on my thigh area, but do you have any tips on where to measure for a garter? Thanks!” Great question! This is a common one asked by brides, and with online ordering so readily available, it’s no wonder you want the perfect fit when it arrives. Read on to find out where to measure for a garter so you don’t order the wrong one…
Where to Measure for a Garter
A garter is worn approximately three to six inches above the knee. Use a soft tape measure and wrap it around your thigh where you’d like to wear the garter. Make sure you hold tape measure tight to your skin, but with a little give for the elastic. You can use body tape to keep the garter in place if you’re concerned about it slipping on the big day.
Hope it helps!
