We’re kicking off the morning with the latest Ask Emmaline question! We’ll tell you about wedding signs for the ring bearer to carry as a fun pillow alternative, you’ll get acquainted with the awesome people of The Ritzy Rose, and get a special Emmaline Bride only discount code! Let’s get started…
Our latest Ask Emmaline question comes to us from Bree, who is getting married in the fall. She writes,
“Hi, I’m getting married in September and I have a question about my ceremony. My ring bearer is very young (he will be about 3 1/2 years old when we get married) and I’d rather have the rings held by the Best Man instead of on a ring pillow. Can we have the ring bearer carry something else instead? Or should I just have him carry a pillow without the rings attached?”
Great questions, Bree! First of all, the ring bearer will be a good age, so don’t worry about that. He’ll be old enough to know what to do, perhaps just a little shy to get the job done (but it really varies from ring bearer to ring bearer). Regardless, I’m sure you chose a great ring bearer to play the part. Secondly, you don’t have to give the ring bearer a pillow to hold; he can absolutely carry something else instead. If you had a particular heirloom pillow you wanted to use, for instance, you could have him carry it without the rings attached (and give them to the Best Man instead). But since having an actual job to do down the aisle is way more fun for your ring bearer, we encourage an alternative in this situation. One of our go-to’s is a ring bearer sign. Signs for the ring bearer to carry are lightweight, easy for hm to carry, and will make the cutest photo prop for your ceremony pictures.
When you’re looking for ring bearer signs, try to find something that really stands out and coordinates with your decor. One of our favorite ring bearer sign maker is The Ritzy Rose, experts in wedding sign design. They have signage for everything you could imagine and we especially love their ring bearer collection. A few of our favorites include “here comes the bride”, “Uncle ___, here comes your girl!” and “Has anyone seen the rings?” Really cute ideas. Today we’re sharing a few to give you inspiration and see if something like this is what you have in mind. Take a look!
