Hi, loves! Emma here. I love quirky, vintage, totally unique-inspired finds. And, when they’re related to weddings, I love ’em even more. I spotted this unique window pane seating chart that looked like a heck of a fun project to DIY. What do you think? It combines functionality (it serves as a seating chart for guests) with rustic charm (who doesn’t love a vintage window pane-turned-decor piece?) Plus, it looks easy enough to do. Take a peek…
DIY Window Pane Seating Chart
To make this yourself, the hard part will be finding the vintage window pane to do it. My advice is to shop around at estate sales (find sales near you here) — you never know when you’ll find one. I scored a pair of window shutters I used for a DIY project totally on a whim… so, I promise, great finds are out there! Also try garage sales, salvage yards, Ebay, and Amazon. You could always buy a window pane and use a kit (try this) to make it look shabby chic as an alternate. Then, use a chalk marker or a window marker to write out guests’ names and table assignments. Display on a simple wood easel near the entrance of your reception.
See? So easy. That’s why we love it! Practical DIYs are the best kind!
