Donuts make people go nuts, especially at weddings! So when we saw these donut wedding ideas including awesome displays, wedding donut favors, and donut bars, it was pretty obvious we had to pull everything together and share it with you.
Every year there is a new wedding favor craze; most notably through the years, we’ve seen cupcakes in a jar, sweet mini apple pies, colorful candy buffets, outstanding whoopie pies, delicious cake pops, tasty cookie favors, these awesome macaron favors, sticky sweet honey jar favors, and dozens more.
Now: donuts! All of the aforementioned edible wedding favors are still wildly popular, but it’s no secret that donuts are pretty much winning right now.

Donut wedding favors are fun because you can make all kinds of customizations. For instance, you can give your wedding guests full-size donut favors, miniature donuts, or bite-size donut holes. Get donuts with tasty glaze, go naked (i.e. meaning no frosting at all), or cover ’em in cinnamon or powdered sugar or colorful sprinkles. You can order wedding donut favors with surprise frosting, Bavarian cream, or jelly inside; you can even coat them in pink icing.
And if you can’t decide, just do what I do when I order — “hey, surprise me!” You’re always pleasantly surprised. They are donuts, after all.
No matter how you decide to serve donuts to your wedding guests, they’re gonna love ya for it. They also make great bridal shower favors.
We’ve rounded up twenty of the best donut wedding ideas to show you just how fun these sweet confections are for weddings. We’ve seen some brides ditch the wedding cake completely and dedicate the cake plate to a giant stack of donuts.
We’ve seen brides go out and buy one of these to spend a weekend baking their very own donuts in a variety of flavors.
I like that because you have to, you know, taste test a bunch just to make sure they’re good enough to serve. ;) And donut makers are ridiculously cheap.
Anyways, here are the best donut wedding ideas: how to display them, how to give donuts as favors (we’ve found the cutest boxes and bags), and other fun finds I knew you’d like.
On to the list!
Donut Wedding Ideas
1. This incredibly beautiful donut wall
This large donuts sign is a must-have to draw attention to your cool donut bar. The signage is by ZCreate Design.
The wood donut wall is basically a wall of wide wooden dowels; if you make your own display wall, just make sure the dowels you use are thick and heavy enough to hold the weight of the donuts. Something this wide should do! Finish the look with ivy garland. And of course, a metal easel strong enough to hold it (or ask your venue if they have one you can borrow — many do!)
The donuts are displayed on wood wall pegs for guests to grab at your wedding. We were able to find one wood donut wall if you want someone to make one for you try here. It’s not the same one in the photo, but the same idea.
2, 3, 4. This donut stand and signage
This is another treasure from here. I love the floral pattern around the top of this sign, giving it a boho inspired look. The donut display rack — i.e. like this — is really just a coffee mug stand! I love it because you can definitely use it at home after the wedding to display your favorite mugs. I just saw one at Hobby Lobby today; you can get one here.
Here’s a closer look. Isn’t it beautiful?
And a closer look at that “I donut know what I would do without you” sign:

Donut rings are super cute for serving to bridesmaids while getting ready! These acrylic rings from ZCreate Design are inserted into the donuts to make them look like diamond rings. Serve them with coffee for dipping or orange juice for sipping.
