Ah… Christmastime! I know, it’s a little early, but I am getting excited about it! Emma here and this morning I woke up, and walked past my picture window, gave the puppy a kiss and… gasp… there was an inch of snow on the ground! I couldn’t believe it. I practically just took down my last ghost and pumpkin; lo and behold, the Christmas spirit arrived while we slept! It was surreal to see a large amount of snow covering our beautiful porch. It makes me want to break out the holly, my fave peppermint coffee, the Peanuts Christmas soundtrack, and deck the halls for Christmastime. :)

Also, here’s what to know before you buy ornaments for winter weddings.
What to Know: Winter Wedding Favors
–Buy early
If you’re buying winter wedding ornament favors with personalization, buy them as soon as possible. Handmade ornaments, as well as other personalized gifts, take longer to make; be sure to keep on your timeline by buying them as soon as possible.
–See favor shipping times and locations
Make sure you find out where the ornaments are shipping from, as you will have a more reliable idea of when the ornaments will arrive. You don’t want to stress yourself out waiting on your order to arrive and risk no favors for your guests.
–Simple = best
If you overthink your ornaments, you’ll discourage yourself. A simple ornament is just as great as an expensive or intricate one; what matters is you love the design and it fits into your budget. Keep this in mind throughout your entire wedding, including but not limited to your favors. It is a way to keep your priorities in check.
–Add your own personalization
In an attempt to save money, you can always buy ornaments in bulk and add your own personalized touches. For instance, you can buy ornaments in a standard design and add a small favor tag (like these by Jody Wody).
In this way, you can save money by buying a single ornament style (without the extra personalization fee) and adding a simple tag to dress it up.
In addition, you can make your own wood slice favors — one of the most popular styles right now — by making your own DIY Christmas ornaments. These wood slices (by here) are pre-cut, pre-drilled, and come with jute twine to use for hanging. Use these special markers to write your names, initials, monogram, your wedding date, “Merry Christmas” or “Happy Holidays”, etc.
Or these from here!
It’s that easy! (P.S. Get this to ensure free shipping, right to your snowy doorstep.)
Okay… now, on to the wedding favors!
