Should you do your own wedding favors? Absolutely! Well, if you want to. :) Wedding favors have never been easier to make yourself thanks to ingenuity of handmade artists like Penny Lane Stationery on Etsy. In just one glance into Morgaine’s beautiful shop, I found myself inspired to create all kinds of favors for weddings and bridal showers alike.
In today’s post, we’ll show you five DIY wedding favor tags you can print and what you need to make your own favors. Enjoy!
DIY Wedding Favor Tags
These printable wedding tags are easy to edit, print, and add to your wedding favors. Here are a few of our favorite favor ideas you can make today or this weekend while catching up on your favorite tv shows. (P.S. What are you watching right now? I’m obsessed with The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. I highly recommend it. I’m also watching some old Office re-runs, but when am I not?!)
Okay, let’s get down to some favor-making business!
1. Mint to be favor labels
Who doesn’t love a pack of Tic Tacs? These cute “Mint to Be” favors are easy to make with printable wedding favor labels. I love the design shown here with flowers and your names, wedding date, and initials on the top of the box. You can buy Tic Tacs in bulk here (for cheap!); remove the labels and replace with these. Done, done, and done! Save some for yourself because they’re so delicious!

2. Take a shot favors
These take a shot printable wedding favor tags are one of my favorite ideas for the wedding reception or engagement party. Find small bottles of liquor locally and add these sweet printable favor tags to them with a small piece of ribbon. Done!

3. Pop the champagne
Similar to the spirits favor above, this mini champagne bottle favor is a fun way to toast to the couple at the reception. All you need to do is source mini champagne bottles (your local grocery store probably has them, ours does) and add these printable wedding favor tags to them. It’s so easy to edit the template and print these tags out yourself! Use a ribbon like this to affix the tag to your champagne bottles in a color that coordinates with your wedding palette. A champagne bottle favor can be put at each guest’s place setting.

4. Let Love Grow favor tags
These DIY printable wedding favor tags are great for giving small plants, like succulents, as take-home favors for guests. You can source succulents here in bulk, add them to planters (like these, a popular style right now), and print these editable favor tags. All you need to do is tie the tags around the plants with a piece of jute twine and you’re done!
As an alternative style, you can also print these sweet favor flags to go into the plants directly. I love this look!

5. DIY printable favor box tags
Prefer to give something in a favor box? Use these easy-to-print tags to attach with twine to your favorite favor box filled with treats of your choice (these are an inexpensive option) for an easy favor project.
You can get these small favor boxes with twine included for as low as $9.99; then, just add the favor labels and fill with your candy. It’s never been easier or more affordable to make your own DIY wedding favors!
