Gift for Groom?
First of all, this blog post was inspired by an Ask Emmaline question submitted by bride-to-be Stephanie. She is looking to give a wedding gift to her groom, Mark, the morning of the wedding. But she doesn’t know what to buy or what kind of gift the groom is supposed to get. She writes,
Hi Emmaline, My best friend got married a few months ago and she asked me what I’m planning to give to Mark (my fiance) during our gift exchange. I didn’t even know about a gift exchange. Is this a new tradition and if so what am I supposed to give him as a gift? Thanks in advance.
Hey, Stephanie! Great question. For starters, this gift exchange between the bride and groom the morning of the wedding is a relatively new trend within the past five years. Before then, people either did it and never really said anything about it, or it wasn’t popular enough to make the rounds on Pinterest yet. ;)
Following the modern tradition of a gift exchange between the groom and bride is totally up to you. You don’t have to do it, but if you want to surprise the groom with a gift, we say go for it! Who doesn’t love a surprise gift? To help, we have several wedding presents for the groom including a message card, personalized fishing lure, bookmark, engraved belt, awesome bottle openers, a handsome watch, passport cover, and more. Now… on to the list!

How to Give a Gift to Groom on the Wedding Day
Now that you know what to give as a gift for the groom, how are you supposed to get it to him the morning of the wedding — without him seeing you before the ceremony? If you’re waiting to see him before the ceremony, have the gift delivered to his room by the ring bearer, flower girl, or a groomsman. If you are seeing him — i.e. a First Look, for instance — bring it with you and be sure to have the photographer capture him opening the gift.
