So… we put up our tree! It all happened so fast this year. Thanksgiving, tree day, set up, decorate, bang-bang-bang. Now I’m in our living room, staring at our beautiful tree with dozens of ornaments and little sections of multiple ornaments on the same branch, put there by our sweet kids. :) There are only a few candy canes left on the tree, but that’s to be expected; we fly through those things and replenish pretty much every week. (Big fans over here on the peppermint stick front.)
As I was gazing at our tree, one particular ornament stood out. “Emma & Andrew, Engaged” made of glass with the date.
It looks a lot like this (from here):
Our just engaged ornament was a gift from my sister-in-law as we celebrated our first Christmas engaged. If she hadn’t bought us a just engaged ornament, I probably wouldn’t have thought of it, and buying an ornament after the holidays isn’t really the same thing as enjoying it in the moment, am I right?
Anyway, while gazing at my tree tonight and thinking of all of you planning your wedding, reading your Ask Emmaline questions, and trying to find a cake topper for Sara B (srsly, we’re on it!), I wondered… what kind of beautiful just engaged ornament gifts are out there that you just have to have?
And so I did some digging, Andrew and I browsed through many shops, textures, and styles; and here’s what we found! We have beautiful newly engaged ornaments for you to enjoy, whether for a friend / relative or your own tree this holiday season as you celebrate your first Christmas engaged.
Also, while browsing for ornaments, I spotted these holiday card ornaments; they actually come with beautiful ribbon to tie and hang on the tree. Your family and friends will love these as an engagement announcement; you can even send them as save the dates! Just put your wedding date and location on it. Win-win. (Save with code: MERRY25 at checkout.)
Let’s get to the list, shall we? I encourage you to view these ornaments with a hot cup of coffee or cocoa, slipper socks ON, blanket in place, and of course, Michael Buble Christmas music playing in the background. I am sipping on leftover pumpkin spice coffee from my Keurig (still good!) and wearing my ugly Christmas sweater, which looks like this. There’s a pup at my feet, heat is on, fireplace is blazing. Life is good. I hope you enjoy these ornaments we’ve rounded up for ya!
