Monogrammed Robes
First, let’s talk about what kinds of monogrammed robes are on the market. For weddings, we’re typically seeing the following robes for sale online.
Bathrobes for Women
If you’re buying a bathrobe, you’ll want to choose a robe made of one of the following materials.
– cotton + rayon
– waffle robe
– microwaffle robe
– satin
– floral
– plush / fleece
– Turkish cotton robe
– plaid / flannel robes
– terry cloth (the towel-like material)
– velvet and lace
– jersey robe
My favorite bathrobe in this list is the jersey robe, followed by satin.
We’re seeing some floral monogrammed robes, too, so if you can’t decide on a solid color you can opt for floral robes instead.
What is the proper order of initials for monogrammed gifts?
This is one of the most commonly asked questions! For custom embroidery, the monogram order is First Initial, Lace Initial, and Middle Initial. For example, if Olivia Pope was to monogram, say, a wine glass or one of these monogrammed robes, her full name is Olivia Carolyn Pope. Her monogram is OPC.
Now that you know the best kinds of bathrobes for women on the market and the proper monogram order, let’s get inspired with examples! You can buy a bathrobe for your bridesmaids, your mom, mother in law, or yourself for getting ready. Let’s start with the most popular style on the market: the cotton and rayon blend bathrobe.
Cotton + Rayon Bathrobes for Women
These cotton monogrammed robes feature a lace trim and super soft material. I love how many options you can get in terms of monogramming at Yadi Mercier. For instance, this example shows the bride’s robe with “Bride” on the front; her bridesmaids have a single monogram letter on the front. I also like how the bride chose a bright color robe (instead of the traditional white). If you’d like, you can get your robes personalized on the front, on the back, on the front AND the back, with a three-letter monogram or single letter, and your choice of colors (for the robe itself and the embroidery thread).

Waffle Robe
These affordable waffle robes are one of my favorite finds. A waffle robe is made of a woven material that is lightweight, so it’s great for wear as a bathrobe in the spring or summer. These waffle robes from JoyfulTidingsBridal is a favorite and features the best price we’ve found. Under $22 each plus monogramming. Tons of colors available!
Bathrobes for women can be worn with leggings, yoga pants, or sweatpants with a cami / tank top underneath. Love the bride’s Minnie Mouse slippers, btw.
