Want to entertain guests at a wedding? Wondering what you can do to make your reception fun for guests who don’t like to dance, or while guests wait for the reception to begin? We’ve rounded up some of our best entertaining ideas for your wedding from lawn games to a kissing booth — even a life-size Jenga game. Read on to find out more…
How to Entertain Guests at a Wedding
1. Wedding Lawn Games
Corn Toss
Another classic wedding lawn game is corn toss. One of our favorite custom corn toss games is handmade by Style My Corntoss, where you can order one made for your wedding (shown below).
Aren’t these custom toss bags cute, too?
This might be the most brilliant lawn game yet: lawn jenga! It’s HUGE!

Immediately I knew I had to find out where to buy these…. and, I found them! You can buy a set here.
2. Wedding Kissing Booth
Create a custom kissing booth! Utilize in lieu of a receiving line, where guests can step up and say hello to the newly wedded couple. Or, use as a darling backdrop for couples to kiss in as a photo booth.
3. Hire a Silhouette Artist
For a bit of fun mid-reception, hire a silhouette artist to create silhouette drawings for guests! This doubles as a unique wedding favor, too!
Or, have guests paste them into a book with their names written underneath. What a unique twist on a traditional guest book!
4. Photo Booth
What could be more fun than a photo booth at a wedding? A photo booth guarantees guests will be smiling all night long (and guests will love the keepsake snapshots).
5. Plenty of Dancing
Guests LOVE to dance. Make sure you have ample dance floor space and excellent music playing all night long. Most of all, make sure you and your groom are out there dancing, too. It’s the best way to keep the party going!
A few more ideas we love include a cupcake and champagne cocktail hour, a 90’s cover band, a caricaturist, an ice cream bar, a bon fire, sky lanterns at night, and a sparkler grand exit. Remember, it’s your wedding day so tie in fun elements you and the groom love and guests will enjoy it, too!
Don’t forget to entertain kids, too! Click here for a fun post just for the kiddos.

Happy Planning!

Hi Courtney,
I agree! It looks like fun, even for barbecues in the summer. :)
