Hey, brides! If you dream of a be my bridesmaid party with a tea theme (or you’re hoping your bridal shower will have a similar tone), you’ll love this chic inspiration shoot! The idea of this 1960’s royal tea party was styled by d.Royal Engagements and included a real bride with her close girlfriends for a fun day of tea, gifts, sweets and sips! You’ll love the DIY florals, the tiny crowns, vintage crockery, tea sandwiches, petit fours, and bright hues, all designed to inspire a party of your own. You can use these ideas for a chic “Be My Bridesmaid” party (a celebration thrown to ask your girls to be a part of your big day), or even as bridal shower inspiration. Read on for the fun!
Be My Bridesmaid Party: Royal Tea
Denise tells us a little bit about how this shoot came together. Take it away, Denise!
“For this shoot we invited Habesha Brides (an Ethiopian & Eritrean wedding resource) to help us find a Real Bride for a Chic 1960’s inspired Be My Bridesmaid high tea. Our beautiful bride (Andrea) dressed in a mod white shift and pill box hat; her bridesmaids (close girlfriends) wore bright jewel-toned dresses. For decor, I surrounded them in modern furniture and bright florals in royal hues of deep red and purple. It was fun to mix modern ideas like sequins and clean lines with vintage crockery, tea sandwiches and petit fours. For the florals, we worked with Blush and Honey, an online DIY floral boutique that ships wholesale flowers to your doorstep: a great idea for bridesmaids who want to decorate for the bride’s non-wedding day events. Pinkies up to fusing style eras for an modern day Bridal Tea!”
Here are the highlights of the day!
P.S. These robes from ModernKimonoRobes are so luxurious! Check them out here.
What a beautiful soirée! We hope you enjoyed this shoot!
