DIY Smore Wedding Favor
Smore Wedding Favor Supplies
Here’s the supplies you’ll need to gather:
– clear plastic favor bags (these are from Mavora)
First things first: an edible wedding favor requires a proper container, one that is food-safe and easy for guests to take home. We love these clear bags from Mavora because they are see-through, which makes them even more irresistible for guests.
– smore wedding favor stickers (also from here)
Wedding favors need personalization! These adorb smore favor stickers include your names, the words ‘s’more love’, and your wedding date.
– marshmallows, chocolate + graham crackers
You’ll need s’more supplies (obviously), and we recommend 2 graham crackers, 3 pieces of chocolate, and two marshmallows per favor, as shown in the example above.
–marshmallows
Quality is king here and ordering in bulk will save you time and money. Jet-Puffed Marshmallows (available for cheap in bulk here) are always a good call.
Want ’em even more fun? You can get these personalized GIANT smore marshmallows from ExceptionalEvent365. They are laser inscribed with your initials and wedding date, along with “S’more Love”.
– chocolate
Hershey’s, obviously. It’s the best! And so easy to break into perfectly-portioned pieces. Buy a gigantic box of chocolate in bulk to save money. They even toss in “one bonus bar” for you to eat. :) Haha!
– graham crackers
The best bet here? HoneyMaid! You can get a huge box of these “fresh stacks”, which are more individually wrapped for freshness and to prevent breakage in shipment. Past customers have given rave reviews on these, saying they’re not broken or crumbly upon arrival (a must for giving as favors). Another option: the traditional family size boxes.
How to Make Smore Wedding Favors
All you have to do is place a sticker on each favor bag. Then, fill the bags: you’ll want two graham cracker halves, two marshmallows, and three bars of chocolate (kept together) inside each bag. Seal and you’re done!
You can place the smore wedding favor at each guest’s seat or put them all in a basket with a sign telling guests to take one. Guests take ’em home or to their next camping trip and cook them up over a roaring campfire.
So fun + easy!
PRO TIP: You’ll want to make these favors a few days before the wedding to ensure freshness. When you do, make sure you seal the bags tightly to prevent air (those pesky graham crackers go stale quickly when exposed to air).
