Picture this: you’re sipping on a hot mug of pumpkin spice coffee or a refreshing cup of cold apple cider. A blanket is wrapped around your shoulders, leaves are falling outside, and you’re finalizing the details of your wedding in a few days.
Ah, planning a fall wedding has to be one of the best things ever.
Fall anything ranks highly on my list of favorite things in life. And while I do love all the summer fun happening right now — I did get to take our boys and 2-month old baby to the beach yesterday which was so memorable — these is something unmistakably wonderful, warm, and cozy about getting married in autumn.
One huge plus of a fall wedding vs. any other time of year is the color palette: it’s pretty easy to nail down. A seasonal palette with oranges, golds, deep reds, or browns fits in beautifully during September through November.
Many couples find this nice and easy, particularly if they are feeling overwhelmed by the multitude of color palette options any other time of year.
Of course, you can definitely deviate from a traditional fall color palette if that’s your preference. As we say around here, you do you! :)
Another plus of fall wedding planning? The invites! Experts say that choosing your fall wedding invitations and your color palette go hand-in-hand; picking out the invitation first makes the latter so much easier.
This is because you can choose the design you like first, then use those colors throughout your decor. It’s easier than finding colors you love and hoping to find the invitations — and coordinating day-of wedding stationery — you are equally excited about to go along with it. ;)
So, invitations then: with so many couples choosing autumn to tie the knot, there must be some pretty amazing invitations… right? Of course! We’re bringing the inspiration with twelve of the most trend-forward styles for fall invites this season and beyond.
With each invitation below — all from Minted’s collection here — you are able to customize the colors, so if you like the style but the color isn’t quite what you’re looking for, just click on the link below the image and you’ll be able to choose another color option with an instant preview.
How’s that for easy?
And to top it off, these invitations are available with free recipient addressing on the envelopes (a huge time-saver for you!) and accompanying pieces to coordinate. This means when you find the invitation you like, you’ll easily be able to match it to the place cards, the table numbers, ceremony programs, etc.
From fall wedding invitations with pictures, leaves, watercolors, floral hoops, and more, we may have found just what you’re looking for. We hope so!
