The Joseph Smith Memorial Building is located east of the Salt Lake Temple in downtown Salt Lake City. The building is home to popular tourist attractions such as Roof Restaurant, Nauvoo Cafe, Legacy Theater, and banquet rooms for events. You can see the elegant rooms available for rent here.

Here are some of our favorite rooms within the building; can’t you already envision your wedding brought to fruition? There are 12 banquet rooms in total, all exceptionally and tastefully decorated for your elegant wedding reception. Empire Room

The Empire Room features warm wooden walls and Victorian tapestries to give your room a warm, cozy feel. High ceilings feature crystal and gold chandelier for an elegant touch while a built-in stage makes it easy to have a live band or DJ set up for dancing. This room boasts exceptional views of Temple Square through its tall, arched glass windows.

Jade Room

For more intimate events, the Jade room is perfectly accommodating and creates an elegant atmosphere. The combination of muted jade, blue, and beige color scheme along with view of Temple Square makes this medium sized room a lovely choice for your bridal shower or wedding venue.

Sharon & Manchester Room

The most notable feature of the Sharon and Manchester room is its rich mahogany wood with teal framed brocade walls, high coved ceilings, and elegant decor. The glass doors bookend each room, making it easy to divide rooms if needed.

Wasatch Room

The Wasatch Room is one of the largest sized rooms at The Joseph Smith Memorial building. It features panoramic views of the Wasatch mountains (great for a mountain themed wedding), all viewable from the Wasatch Room’s large windows. We admire the crystal chandeliers and gold leaf arched ceilings; they’ll look amazing in your wedding photos. The beige and gray carpeting and purple walls are stunning.
