*Giveaway inside!
There is one huge mistake most brides make after the wedding, and it’s totally avoidable. So, what is it? It’s more about what brides aren’t doing that is the mistake. Brides are letting their wedding photos go by the wayside, sitting on a hard drive or flash drive, never to be looked at again. Waiting to print out your photos and assemble them in an album is one of the biggest mistakes you can make. And it’s scary because you could lose those memories forever, if something were to happen to your hard drive, flash drive, or your computer gets a virus. I (Emma here!) know first-hand because something similar almost happened to me. I had a bunch of photos on a hard drive for years, photos of Andrew and I dating, photos of us in college, engaged, newly married… you know, just a TON of photo files sitting on a hard drive. Then one day, Andrew wanted to grab a few photos from a trip we took and print them out. But when he went to download them, the hard drive no longer worked; it was corrupted. It appeared as though no images existed. Just like that.
Yikes.
We searched on Google and found, to our dismay, that a corrupted hard drive could need to be reformatted, as in ERASED. Gone. No more. Memories erased in a heartbeat. And, luckily our wedding photos weren’t on there, but can you imagine? Well, we took our hard drive to a computer expert (shout-out to our local computer shop, Tech City Electronics who SAVED OUR HARD DRIVE!) and we got ALL of those photos back. Can you imagine if you weren’t so lucky? After that day, I learned an important lesson and I back up EVERYTHING. And I print those photos now. Every sweet Baby Andrew smile and video moment (there are thousands, and he’s just under a year!), every cat photo of them sleeping in boxes or drawers or on top of laundry heaps (again, thousands), every home project, family vacation, DIY project, holiday, birthday, and everything else. I mean, why risk it?
Anyways, we would hate for your wedding photos to go missing. So we’re here to help you with a discount and a giveaway so you can print out those photos and put them in a beautiful keepsake photo album. But first… check out some of the new photo album designs we spotted over at Indigo Album Design, one of our go-to sources for professional handmade (+ high quality) photo albums.
