And you’ll be able to cross a big to-do from your list, knowing the guys will love their presents It’s a definite win-win. :)
Read on to see what kind of boxes and gift bags we recommend, what to put inside them, and how to wrap it up for the finishing touch.
Let’s get started!
What to Put in a Groomsmen Box
First, select your gifts. You won’t know the size box you’ll want/need until you know how large the gift items will be!
1. Pick Your Presents
Here comes the fun part: picking your presents! What do you think your groomsmen will like? Consider things they enjoy and feel free to individualize each gift box for a personal touch. I recommend selecting 1-3 gifts to go inside each box – and then leaving a little room for a card.
I found these groomsmen gifts at OneDapperGent. This makes it easy to shop and create your gift boxes because you can select multiple products from their shop and combine shipping. Yassssss! They offer a little bit of everything: pocket knives, watches, pocket watches, wallets, whiskey glasses, flasks, cigar holders, and more.

Once you’ve selected the gifts, decide what kind of box or bag you’ll package them inside.
2. Select a Box or Bag
It doesn’t really matter what kind of box you select, as long as the gifts you select fit nicely inside. I highly recommend these cardboard boxes with their names on the top, these coolers, or these personalized wooden gift boxes, depending on what you plan to put inside it.
For a deeper box – and a rugged look – get these boxes with their names on them.
If you have larger items, opt for this groomsman gift bag, perfect for over-sized gifts.
The key here is to choose a box or bag that fits all of the items inside nicely – without overcrowding. Moreover, don’t select something too large, or it will look like it is lacking. ;)
Last but not least, it’s time to assemble and package the gift boxes.
3. Assemble and Package
How do you wrap up groomsmen gifts? Since you’re putting them in a gift box, it’s super easy to do! Get some white crinkle paper filler to add to the inside of the box. This makes it look extra-special for gift giving. If you’re using gift bags instead of a box, use this kind of tissue paper, which is longer and best-suited for gift bags of this size. Just a few pieces in each bag is all you need.
Then, add a card, write a little message inside, and sign it. Attach the card to the box or bag and that’s it! You’re done! I love the “thank you for being a groomsman” cards by HmacdoPaperCo. My favorite!
When to Give the Gifts: Best Timeline
The best time to give the gift boxes is at the rehearsal dinner. It’s typically held the night or two nights before the wedding. Alternatively, you can give the gifts on the morning of the wedding while groomsmen are getting ready.
