Fun, creative signture cocktail signs are featured below! Before you read the post, make sure you’re on the list so you don’t miss out on future inspiration!
Are you offering a signature cocktail at your wedding?
No? Well, let’s change your mind. :)
If there is one super fun thing I would add to OUR bar when we tied the knot, it is a signature drink, displayed on a cute sign like the ones we’ll show you today. Honestly, if we have a big anniversary celebration for our 20th or something we’ll definitely do it up, signature cocktail sign and all. (P.S. Today is our wedding anniversary!)
The bar is seriously so underlooked for decorations, but we’ll be changing that for the new year, showing you all sorts of ways to dress it up — like with these signature cocktails signs, or cool personalized napkins — just to name a few.
Anyways… let’s get started!
Why You Need a Signature Cocktails Sign at Your Wedding
A signature cocktail is a very fun way to tie in your favorite cocktail or beverage, alcohol or non-alcohol. It tells guests which drinks are available in addition to standard options (i.e. beer, wine, soda, etc.) or instead of standard options, both very important things to note at your bar.
But most of all, a signature cocktail adds that personalized touch to your bar that nothing else quite can.
Your favorite uncle, cousin, best friend, co-worker, etc. will walk up to the bar and be greeted by your cool signature cocktails sign, checking out what your top pick is and then order it up.
Bar Menu vs. Signature Cocktails Sign
A bar menu and a signature cocktails sign are two different things, but they can easily be tied together. Your signature drinks can be listed on a sign, while the bartender also serves up classic drink options chosen by guests, whether it be wine or beer, spirits, soda, etc.
If you don’t want to offer a signature cocktail or you don’t drink (hey! a really fun “Bride’s Coke and Lime” without alcohol is just as much fun!), consider displaying a bar menu instead.
A bar menu tells guests everything on tap or available, even down to specific brands or brew styles, if you’d like.
Emma + Andrew’s Signature Cocktails Sign
So, what would OURS be?
I just talked to Andrew about it, since I like to be thorough; his signature cocktail would be an Old Fashioned. (I totally guessed it!)
It’s a Moscow Mule for me (I looove ginger beer, the lime, vodka, and of course, serve it up in a copper mug, please!)
Speaking of Moscow Mule mugs, did you see these personalized ones?! I love ’em! I noticed Andrew’s name is already on the example! By Joyful Ink Calligraphy.
So, now that you know you need/want a signature cocktails sign at your wedding reception, here’s a few things to know about what to include on yours and where to buy a signature drinks sign.
Signature Cocktails Sign
Here are four things every signature cocktail signage must include, listed below. Lucky for you, the lovely Rubi and Lib offers signs with ALL OF THESE THINGS so you’ll be on the right track!
Plus, you can get them as a printable file, so you can have it edited and printed out as soon as you need it!
1. The signature drink for one spouse
2. The signature drink for the other spouse
3. Ingredients (so people know what’s in the drink)
It keeps guests from asking the bartender 1000x, what’s in it?! :)
4. An easel or photo frame to display the sign upwards
… so guests don’t miss it! A photo frame with one of these stands is a super-easy way to do it.
If you’d like, go for this bonus #5:
5. Illustrations of your pets and have the drinks named after them
It’s a cute touch. Ours would be Ruby’s Rum and Coke; Geppetto’s Gin and Tonic; and Bruce’s Black Russian. :)
In addition to these signs having all the must-haves, Rubi and Lib offer the CUTEST custom illustrations. Ever. Check out these beautiful drawings for your drinks; there are even garnishes!
So cute, am I right?
You can even get a custom cocktails sign or bar menu for your upcoming Christmas parties! Hmmm… what would I serve? Something peppermint-y.
