Spotted: these driftwood chair signs from Velma and Louise are a new favorite find! Ideal for beach or nautical weddings, these Mr & Mrs signs are designed to be used as decorative accents or as chair signs at your reception.
Wedding signage of all shapes and sizes is being seen in both ceremony and reception decor this year. We’ve been seeing mirror signage to welcome guests and as a unique bar menu; acrylic has made a name for itself as welcome signs, and driftwood is one of the hottest trends for coastal and beach inspired weddings. We especially love the driftwood accents, as they can most easily be used as home decor after your wedding. (Win-win on re-usable decor!)
These beautifully designed chair signs are actually made of real driftwood. Unlike cheap alternatives, these are not factory produced; these signs are completely one-of-a-kind and handmade, hand-lettered, and hand-wired. Check them out below: these signs are today’s handmade-a-day find! Enjoy!
Driftwood Chair Signs
These beautifully handcrafted driftwood signs are one-of-a-kind and completely custom from start to finish. This is handmade love at its finest: the driftwood pieces are even carefully sought after and collected by hand along the coast in upstate New York. That’s love.

Each piece of driftwood goes through a process of scraping, sanding, burnishing, painting, lettering, and wiring, like this.
Once complete, the driftwood chair signs are shipped right to your doorstep and ready to be displayed at your wedding. These signs are such a beautiful bespoke gift: no two driftwood signs are the same and each set is completely made-to-order.
The driftwood chair signs are often re-used as home decor after the wedding, hung on a pair of copper hooks or placed on a lovely wood ledge (like this).
In addition to the signs themselves, I also adore the hand-dyed silk ribbon used on these. I think the colors really complement the wood grain very well. You can choose your favorite color ribbon from these shades.
