If you’re a bride who already rocks gorgeous locks (hi there, beautiful!) this post was written just for you. Your hair is already pretty as is, so don’t feel pressure to wear it up just because it seems like the thing to do. Instead, wear your hair in a way that makes you look and feel your own personal best. This means you could rock tons of volume, a stylish braid down the aisle, tousle your hair into a wavy, beach chic look, a chic up-do, or wear your hair down to suit your specific style. With any wedding hairstyle you select, you’ll feel confident and look radiant because you’ll feel like your very best self. So, grab that cup of coffee and get ready to inspire your styling side with an assortment of wedding hair down styles selected just for you. We’ve also included a few fun DIY hairstyles to try this weekend! So, let’s begin, shall we?

A wedding hairstyles post isn’t fun unless there are additional hairstyle DIYs to do at home! So, we’ve gathered up some of our favorites below for you to try over the weekend:
DIY Curling Wand
Have you ever tried curling your locks only to have that annoying crimping that occurs from your curling iron? We’ve heard a curling wand works wonders, but the lovely Kristin Ess of The Beauty Department would bet your bottom dollar that this DIY curling wand works best! Check out the full scoop here.
DIY Hairstyle with a Bow
We always adore Katie’s beautiful DIY hairstyles at Skunkboy Creatures, but this tutorial she did featuring a girly bow might be our new favorite. It was created for A Beautiful Mess and we think it’s perfect for a DIY bridal hairstyle. Here’s a sneak peek:
Isn’t it lovely? Get the full how-to tutorial here.

How to (Properly) Wash Your Hair
Are you washing your hair correctly? I know, sounds like an easy enough question. However, you may be surprised at how a few tweaks in your shower routine can make a huge impact on the quality of your tresses. I read this article by Elbie Hair and Makeup and followed it to a T. I’ve gotta tell you, it actually makes a difference! Give it a try. You may be surprised! Oh, by the by, I remember hearing from my stylist that you’re not supposed to wash your hair on the day of your wedding because it’s tougher to style. Just thought I’d pass it along!

DIY Tip-Dye Hair
We couldn’t keep this DIY tip dye hair tutorial a secret! I secretly want to try this on my hair, and I just might take the plunge and try it one weekend. This fantastic tutorial by The Beauty Department shows a easy to follow tutorial on how to dye just the tips of your tresses for unexpected pops of color. While this may not be on your to-do list for your wedding day, it may be fun to try afterward for the honeymoon or on a girl’s night with your bridesmaids post-wedding madness. Take a peek:
