It’s Monday and we’re excited to share this beautiful DIY New Hampshire wedding with Emmaline Bride fans! Bryan and Megan’s beautiful outdoor wedding took place in North Conway on August 28, 2010 and was authentically photographed by Amanda from Boro: Creative Visions.
The bride Megan tells us,
“I have visualized my wedding being in a field for as long as I could remember. The field where we ended up having our ceremony just came to me. A friend of mine knew the owners of Chocorua View Farm and casually mentioned one day that they might let me have it there. When she called to inquire, I heard a scream of elation on the other end. The owners, Jay and Linda, have wanted to host an event there and we decided it was kismet.
My wedding vision was a fun, bright, vintage field wedding with lighting being a dominant factor. I worked on within a budget – this meant I came up with creative, inexpensive ways to not have to sacrifice my vision. I shopped around until I found reasonably priced vendors with a good reputations.
I spent my weekends collecting old jars, milk bottles, and vases to use as my centerpieces. Instead of paying a florist to create my table centerpieces, I grabbed my friends and family and went to Sherman Farms in Conway, NH and picked my own flowers. They were BEAUTIFUL!!!
Bryan and I are both very outdoorsy and active and wanted to tie in woodsy elements to our wedding. Although we had a beautiful backdrop of mountains, we opted to marry under this big, beautiful maple tree lining the field. We decorated it with colorful paper lanterns and lined the aisle with mason jars on shepherd hooks with our hand picked flowers.
For the seating, I found old trees and wood burned table numbers into them. I also, found a couple of birch trees and hung my seating assignments on them. For the seating assignments I made leaves and wrote the numbers on them.
The wedding was perfect. Our photographer was amazing and captured the day perfectly.
Two of the things that I chose to splurge on a little and the things that made all of the difference to my guests were the photobooth and luxury toilets.”

We hosted Megan and Bryan’s wedding here at the Chocorua View Farm in August of 2010. They were our first wedding and I have to say that it and they will always hold a special place in our hearts. They did such a beautiful job with the venue and it all went so smoothly. Kudos to all of the vendors that were involved too!
These two were awesome and every detail so fun! I loved the cups because you could scratch your name off on them :) You can see their wedding film preview here: http://exposureroom.com/bailey-hanlon-wedding/ Awesome job Amanda on the Photos – so great to work with you :)
I really, really like the last shot! The lighting and color with that field is amazing. I can see why the bride wanted to have her wedding in a field. And the dog…the dog is awesome!
