Hi, loves! Emma here. I’ve been admiring night wedding ideas lately and each one I stumble upon is lovelier than the last. So, I decided, enough is enough: time to share ’em! If you’re planning an outdoor nighttime wedding or night wedding ceremony this summer, you need to add these ideas to your list and put them to good use. Bookmark this post (CTRL+D), tweet it, and pin it for later. It’s packed to the gills with awesome. Ready to be inspired? Let’s go!
Night Wedding Ideas
1. A Candlelit Sweetheart Table.
Ah, so romantic…
2. Send lanterns into the sky.
Releasing sky lanterns are a beautiful way to kick off the start of the reception… or right before your grand exit at the end of the night. You can find white sky lanterns here.
3. Luminaries along the aisle.
4. A glowing arbor. Oceanfront view. First kiss.
Or an arbor with flowers and lights, like this:
5. Twinkle lights wrapped around trees.
Now, this is a good idea for EVERY backyard and outdoor nighttime setting, wouldn’t you agree? Stealing this and putting twinkle lights on all the things.
6. Candles surrounding forefront of ceremony.
Obviously, yikes, you’d want to use these instead of actual candles. Anything else would be too dangerous (and nerve-wrecking).
7. Chandeliers. And table lanterns. And that gorgeous tide.
And, I couldn’t help tossing this one in, too. How the lighting is devised to look so effortless, I’ll never know; but this must take a lot of work to bring to fruition. At any rate, it’s gorgeous, don’t you think?
Note: Hay bales make excellent seating (and cozy blankets in baskets are a nice touch for guests in the fall).
9. Lanterns as Aisle Decor (on Hooks)
I love everything about this! To recreate this look, you’ll want moroccan style lanterns (like these) and shepherds hooks (like these). Don’t forget to line a pathway for guests on the way to the ceremony.
10. Bridesmaids Carry Lanterns Down the Aisle
For a night wedding, you’ll want to ditch the bouquets and opt for something guests can actually see! A candle lantern with handle is a lovely way to make a grand entrance.
11. Sparklers + a Grand Exit
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: I love sparkler grand exits! They’re especially fitting for a night wedding. (Don’t forget to read this!)
A ‘love’ sparkler photo like this with bridesmaids is another cute idea.
12. Hanging Glass Orbs with Candles
Now that you’ve seen some awesome night wedding ideas, it’s time to add to our list (or tell us which ones you love most). Leave a comment below! We’d love to hear from you. Baby Andrew especially loves your comments, so send ’em in. ;)
