Hello, loves! It’s time for another Ask Emmaline question. This question comes to us from Monika who asks, “My nephew will standing up in our wedding as the ring bearer. However, I have no idea what to pick for attire. What should the ring bearer wear?” Great question, Monika! Read on to see a few examples of what the ring bearer should wear with inspiring outfits from MiniSwagTextiles and LondonJaeApparel, along with a few other shops. Enjoy!
What Should the Ring Bearer Wear?
So, what should the ring bearer wear? When in doubt, look to your groomsmen. The ring bearer should coordinate with their look, at least within the same level of formality. If your wedding is more formal (a classic/traditional theme, for instance), a ring bearer suit is a popular choice. This can include a dress shirt, jacket, and necktie or bow tie.
For a less formal look (a beach wedding, as an example), the ring bearer should wear more casual attire (like a linen shirt, lightweight jacket, bow tie, suspenders, and shorts, weather permitting). Here is a casual ring bearer outfit we recommend for summer (from here):
Here’s a casual outfit with pants instead of shorts, perfect for any time of the year. Get it here.
If your wedding is outdoors and you prefer a no-jacket look, he can wear dress pants with suspenders and a bow tie or a vest with a bow tie and a coordinating hat. I like this outfit from here.
If you’d like an all white ring bearer outfit, try this one by A&JDesign:
This look works for nearly any wedding theme: a long sleeve dress shirt, necktie, and vest. Get it here.
If the groomsmen are wearing a suit and tie or tuxedo, the ring bearer should coordinate. Here’s a charming example (you can get it here):
We hope this helped to inspire his look! If you have any additional questions, let us know in the comments area below.
