For any bachelorette party theme, step one is to ask the bride what kind of bachelorette party she would like to have. A poolside soiree? A weekend-long bash a plane ride away? A one-night crazy girl’s night on the town? A low-key movie night at home with her BFFs? Whatever it is, plan a bachelorette party for her that includes all of her favorite things. Here’s what you need to get started.
How to Plan a Flamingo Bachelorette Party
Once you’ve decided on the type of party you’ll have (p.s. clubbing or bar-hopping aren’t the only things to do at a bachelorette bash: we’ve compiled this list of fun bachelorette party alternatives), it’s time to choose a location, pick a date, make your guest list, send out invites, and plan the the party. Let’s start with the location.
1. Choose a location.
For a flamingo themed bachelorette party, obviously something beachy or poolside is where you’ll want to do. Palm Springs, Miami, San Diego, Charleston, The Outer Banks in North Carolina, and Virginia Beach are just a few places to consider for beach bachelorette destinations. Obviously, poolside will do, too, and you’ll find awesome pool resorts in nearly any location. Look for resorts in your favorite city — you’d be surprised what is right in your own neck of the woods (or a short road trip away!)
And, if planning a poolside retreat, make sure you do some homework and read up on past guest reviews. You’ll also want to ideally pick a location that is nearby other fun hot-spots, amenities, and activities for the entire weekend.
2. Set a date.
Next comes the date of the big bash. A bachelorette party typically takes place a few weeks before the big day. Figure out a date that works best with the bride, then give bridesmaids a head’s up to they can make travel arrangements if needed.
3. Make a guest list.
The bachelorette party can be as small or large as the bride would like; typically, a small intimate party of her closest friends and family members works best. For the guest list, the bride can decide who she’d like to invite. It can be bridesmaids, a few additional friends or family members — ask the bride if she’d also like to extend the invite to her mom and future mother-in-law. They may want to be invited and it’s very nice to include them.
Once your guest list is complete…
4. Send invitations!
Invitations are a must-have for every party! You can send digital invitations via email or send printed invitations in the mail. It’s helpful to receive RSVPs in advance; use something easy for guests like this where they can RSVP online. If the bride has a wedding website, it’s a great idea to keep it updated with the pertinent bachelorette party dates, too.
Now that you’ve got all of that squared away, let’s flamingle and start planning the best flamingo bachelorette party ever. Here is an inspiration board with our favorite flamingo themed bachelorette party ideas. You can find all sources at the bottom of this post.
