While I (Emma here!) love wedding themes of all kinds, a bohemian theme has become my new favorite. A bohemian (or boho) wedding is free-spirited. Whimsical. It’s chock-full of charming details like bouquets of wildflowers and dream-catchers and floral crowns. I’ve taken my love for boho charm into my own home, where I’ve pieced together some nature-inspired finds like curtains with a branch pattern and an airy, open weave, gold feather decals leading up the stairway, and wall art. I have some plans to make a giant dream catcher, but more on that later. And I never thought I would like this, but I do — and now I’m trying to figure out how to make it work at our office. Hmmmm.
Today we’re talking about bohemian bridal shower ideas with tribal, feather-y and arrow inspired details. If you’re planning a shower for a bride-to-be who loves free-spirited and nature-inspired finds, this may be the perfect theme for her. This can also be adapted to a wedding reception (of course), as well as a bachelorette party. Ooh, a boho bach party — that sounds fun, too. Maybe we’ll do one of those coming up in the next week or two. Today we’re sharing just a handful of finds to get you started and to see if this theme is right for you.
On to the inspiration!
Bohemian Bridal Shower Decor Ideas
First, start with an invitation. We love this one spotted at Paper Street Press:
For decor, include a photo wall like this, filled with favorite photos of the bride, her bridesmaids, and the happy couple:
And you see that skull? It’s a bull skull. It’s also wildly popular as decor for this theme. If you’re like me and don’t really want the real deal, there are some surprisingly chic alternatives. Like this!
See? Totally faux.
You can decorate the space with charming wall art (there’s a ton on Etsy), like this pretty find from Little Emma’s Flowers (maybe I’m biased because of the name?):
And a hanging floral monogram with the bride’s first name:
Have guests find their seats with these chic feather place cards…
… drape this tribal ‘love’ garland on the wall or hang outdoors from a tree…
… and invite guests to take a flower for their hair.
Guests will go nuts for these cute cookies…
… and these tribal arrows, used as decor anywhere you wish. I think they’d look cute as a cake topper.
Have a ‘make your own dreamcatcher’ station…
… and then have guests settle in to their seats for some fun bridal shower games.
Dress up the bride’s chair like this, with ribbons:
And add some charming centerpieces and decor items, like these:
These are just a few of our favorite bohemian bridal shower ideas, but there’s hundreds more, which we’ll be covering in posts to come. What do you think of this theme?
